Last Sunday, 15 Hidden Depths club members travelled to Beacon Cove for the latest club shore dive day 🤿

We had a lovely day, with good conditions and lots of life. Divers spotted pipefish, cuttlefish, crabs, lobsters, crawfish and much more! The weather mostly behaved too, although there was a heavy downpour whilst we were underwater 🌧️

A member of the dive club, and not yet in the WhatsApp community chat? Make sure to reach out to be added to the group, as this is proving to be a great way to easily communicate details of trips and share trip photos too.

We had a lot of fun on the course, and concluded with a great Search & Recovery dive. This is such a useful dive, playing with knots, lines and lift bags, as well as search patterns too!

It’s always great to see how our PADI referral students get on when completing their courses overseas. We’ve been sent these lovely photos from Izzy & Stas, who recently headed to the Maldives to complete their certifications - congratulations to you both 🥳

Not only were the photos lovely to see, but their message of thanks brought a big smile too - “Just wanted to say again a massive thank you for passing on your knowledge and expertise during our Open Water training! We are now OW PADI certified 🤙🏼 but we both said how chilled and relaxed we felt during our OW dives because you'd explained everything so well to us during the training.”

Well done to you both, and we look forward to introducing you to some amazing dives around the UK this year too!

We had a fantastic Dive Club shore dive yesterday at Brixham Breakwater Beach. 10 of our dives made the journey down to the coast, and were rewarded with 3-4m visibility, calm seas and plenty of life to see!

Highlights from the dives included a large cuttlefish, crawfish, lobsters, a pipe fish and a little nudibranch too! Two really nice dives with the club.

Our next shore dive day is the 18th April. Kit hire is now almost fully booked for that date, but there is good availability for all dates from May onwards so make sure to put your name down! All dates can be found on the website and dives are open to all Club Members!

Last weekend, not only did we have our latest group of Open Water students qualify, but this excellent young diver passed his Junior Divemaster course - congratulations Noah, you’ve really earned this one 🥳 🎉

After much hard work, covering demonstration quality skills, swim assessments & dive briefings, Noah completed his course with a great mapping project and Search & Recovery dive at Vobster 🤿

Well done Noah, and I’m looking forward to completing your full Divemaster certification once you’re old enough!
