Happy new year everyone. Last night members of yateley represented the club at the A&D presentation night. Members in attendance were the league captain Adrian and the president Brenda, along with Les, Ricky, Brian and James. We picked up the division 1 trophy which was won by the a team and the Coventry cup (which as you can see is just bigger then the ashes trophy π€£) and some of the team who took part in both of those were there to collect. The c team was also mentioned for coming 2nd in the 3rd division so well done to everyone and let's hope for more success this year. Overall an enjoyable evening and as usual great camera work by Ricky ππ. Come on YBC!!!!

Today we also had our annual crazy golf tournament we had 2 holes in one and one lost ball, we won't say who that was. That was also won by Derrick L. Wednesday saw us having our annual Candlelight dinner and game. 53 sat down to Lasagne and gateaux thanks to Eileen, Pat, Sandra, Val and Ricky, followed by a game of bowls in the dark. Night lights on with torches shining over the Jack. Bowlerβs wives enjoyed staying in the warm with a glass of wine. Great evening had by all. 77 glass jars and candlelightβs put away until next year. Hope Heathrow was confused by the lines of lights.

The life members havenβt lost any of their skill of playing. We then had afternoon tea and cake finishing with a raffle. Thank you Brenda Stook, as Ladies Captain, for organising the event and for the great cakes, made by you, Janet Howell and Val Tolworthy. Also thank you to our President, Brenda Briggs, for the lovely gift you gave us all. Β£70 raised for our charities. Lovely afternoon had by all.

Thank you everyone for the beautiful pot of flowers that you have given to me. They will bring us lots of pleasure for many weeks. Thank you also for the card and your good wishes. I am pleased to say that I am on the mend now and will back to bowling very soon. Thank you also to Brian and Ricky for delivering this lovely pot to us. Today was our open pairs tournament which we had a great turn out and fun was had by all. There were some great games and some brilliant shots (I'm not going to mention my fire π). The final was Mike Elliott and Ian Perry v Ian Ledlie and Brian Lawrence. Which, after an exciting and close game, the winner's were Mike and Ian. Well played to you both. If you think this look like fun there's currently two day competition's to sign up for on the website give it a go. They are great fun.
