Going down the green to have a walk around the park , will look at the green this morning , to remind myself what it looks like
Remembering a year ago when we joined the club at the May Fayre πŸ˜€πŸ˜€. Looking longingly today and wishing that we could all be together practicing for matches and watching the same. Fingers crossed that it won’t be too long 🀞
if you had to pick a club member( not your partner) to be in isolation for 3 months who would you select?
I will be glad when we start again this spring, looking forward to good bowling.
Congratulation to all winners of Yateley B C. for the 2018 in-house competitions.

Happy new year everyone. Last night members of yateley represented the club at the A&D presentation night. Members in attendance were the league captain Adrian and the president Brenda, along with Les, Ricky, Brian and James. We picked up the division 1 trophy which was won by the a team and the Coventry cup (which as you can see is just bigger then the ashes trophy 🀣) and some of the team who took part in both of those were there to collect. The c team was also mentioned for coming 2nd in the 3rd division so well done to everyone and let's hope for more success this year. Overall an enjoyable evening and as usual great camera work by Ricky πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š. Come on YBC!!!!

Wednesday saw us having our annual Candlelight dinner and game. 53 sat down to Lasagne and gateaux thanks to Eileen, Pat, Sandra, Val and Ricky, followed by a game of bowls in the dark. Night lights on with torches shining over the Jack. Bowler’s wives enjoyed staying in the warm with a glass of wine. Great evening had by all. 77 glass jars and candlelight’s put away until next year. Hope Heathrow was confused by the lines of lights.

Thursday saw us host our annual Ladies afternoon. Life members who don’t play anymore joined members for a fun afternoon of playing β€œyardstick” and β€œshort jack”. The life members haven’t lost any of their skill of playing. We then had afternoon tea and cake finishing with a raffle. Thank you Brenda Stook, as Ladies Captain, for organising the event and for the great cakes, made by you, Janet Howell and Val Tolworthy. Also thank you to our President, Brenda Briggs, for the lovely gift you gave us all. Β£70 raised for our charities. Lovely afternoon had by all.

A message from one of our longest serving members Janet Howell

Thank you everyone for the beautiful pot of flowers that you have given to me. They will bring us lots of pleasure for many weeks. Thank you also for the card and your good wishes. I am pleased to say that I am on the mend now and will back to bowling very soon. Thank you also to Brian and Ricky for delivering this lovely pot to us. What a wonderful club we belong to, where everyone is so caring. Thank you once again.
