⛳ Devon Golf Past Captains Golf Day ⛳

Today we were delighted to host the Devon Golf Past Captains Golf Day, on behalf of our Club Chairman, Dave Smith, who is also the 2026 Devon Past Captain.

A fantastic 55 players took part in today’s competition, before gathering for their AGM. During the AGM, Dave officially handed over the role to Neil Hayman from Stover Golf Club.

A big thank you to Terry Gibson for doing the starting and helping get everyone away on time. 👏

The afternoon continued with the prize giving for today’s competition, followed by a delicious two-course meal prepared by our fantastic team.

It was also great to see our current Captain Nick Arundel, Immediate Past Captain Phil Millar, and 2024 Captain Steve Seward proudly representing Yelverton Golf Club in the competition. 🏆⛳️

The course is prepped, the stage is set, and there’s a real sense of anticipation in the air. Today we look forward to welcoming players from near and far as they take on the course.

Today is National day.
Garry and his team don’t just deserve thanks today, they deserve it all year round for the endless hard work they put in to make Yelverton Golf Course the special course it is.
From the early morning starts to get the greens watered in the summer to the endless days of wet condition in the winter and everything in between.

Last week we hosted Rotary Club of Yelverton District 1175 with the help from our Professional Nigel he set up a fantastic mini crazy golf course on the putting Green.
A great fun introduction into golf for some. Followed by bar meals in the club house. ⛳️
