Based in Yeovil, we’re proud to be a friendly, family club at the heart of our community. 🤍🖤 Our Facilities -

Our clubhouse has two lounges. The main lounge is a large, bright and airy room which can be setup for dinners, dinner dances, discos and bands or just a plain old get together for a large number. The main lounge offers a versatile space which can be set up according to your requirements and its own bar. The John Merry lounge is a smaller room but is still bright and airy. It can be setup for dinners or meetings and has its own bar. This lounge has a large, state of the art plasma screen which has connections for computers and other devices. It is perfect for the smaller meeting or function. For hire charges please contact the club steward

📢 FUN DAY POSTPONED 📢

Unfortunately, the Elite Baller Coaching Fun Day, due to take place at Yeovil Rugby Club on Saturday 29th August, has been postponed.

We’re sorry for any disappointment, but the good news is the event will be rearranged! 🙌

📅 A NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.

All the fantastic activities, entertainment and family fun planned for the day will hopefully return on the new date.

⚫️⚪️ PLAYERS OF THE MATCH ⚪️⚫️

Now that the dust has mostly settled and everyone is somewhat recovered… it’s time to name our Players of the Match from last weekend’s clash against the Coldstream Guards! 🏉💥

It was a highly physical contest against a seriously fit opposition, and unfortunately the Yeovil Senior Men couldn’t quite secure their first home win of the 26/27 campaign.

With the penalty count from the opposition reaching the ceiling 🚨, the match was eventually brought to an early end — but there were still plenty of standout performances across the Yeovil squad.

After a few seasons away from rugby, Harry McHugh made his long-awaited return — and what a return it was!

Skipping, dancing and generally causing problems for the defence throughout the game, Harry made an immediate impact and showed exactly what we’ve been missing.

And, as always, our captain leads from the front.

Oli was heavily involved in the contact areas all afternoon, putting himself about and keeping the boys organised — while also doing a solid job of managing the referee from the middle of the action. 😉🏉

We wanted to give a huge shout-out to Steve Sowden and the team at Yeovil Press for the brilliant coverage they continue to give Yeovil Rugby Club.

From our teams and players to volunteers, awards nights, club events and everything else that makes up life at YRC, Steve has been there helping us share our stories with the wider Yeovil community.

The photos here are just a small snapshot of the fantastic coverage we've received. Having a genuinely local newspaper that takes the time to celebrate local sport, people, businesses and community organisations is something we should all support.

❤️💜 MACCA’S BIG WALK – WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! 💜❤️

What an incredible day and an incredible team effort!

On Saturday, friends and family took on the 20-mile Macca’s Big Walk from West Bay to Yeovil Rugby Club, raising money for Lymphoma Action in memory of their much-loved friend and former Yeovil player Neil “Macca” McKernan.

Our own Vice Chairman Luke Hodgson, who played alongside Macca at Yeovil, was among the walkers, with some members of the team travelling hundreds of miles just to take part.

After a very early start, plenty of miles and rather more Dorset hills than expected 😂, the team made their way to YRC where family, friends and supporters were waiting to welcome them home. ❤️🏉

And what a result…

🎯 £2,643 RAISED AND COUNTING!
Their original £2,500 target has officially been SMASHED! 👏👏👏

A huge congratulations to every walker and a massive thank you to the support crew, organisers, families, friends, everyone who donated and shared the page, and Wynyard’s Gap for providing the team's mid-way stop.

It was a day of mixed emotions, but above all a wonderful celebration of friendship and a fitting tribute to Macca.

THE BIG DAY IS HERE! 🏉🔥

Our Yeovil Senior Men are ready to take on the Coldstream Guards RFC in what promises to be a huge afternoon at the club.

With the rugby kicking off at 14:00, we’re expecting a fantastic turnout as we come together for a special day of rugby, fundraising and entertainment — all in support of The Bridge for Heroes charity.

🍺 IT’S A HARD LIFE LOOKING AFTER A RUGBY CLUB… 🍺🏉

Someone has to do the important jobs… so today we’ve been out “researching” in the name of YRC. 👀🍻

With Saturday’s BIG GAME fast approaching, we took a trip just down the road to Apex Brewing Co. at Patson Hill Farm, Sherborne to do some very serious market research.

Tough work, but we’re committed. 😂

And the result? Two new local b**rs are coming to the YRC bar this weekend!

🍺 BACK MARKER – 4% BITTER
Going on the hand pump – a proper British bitter.

🍺 PISTON POPPER – 3.9% PALE ALE
Going on tap – light, sessionable and very easy drinking.

Apex are a proper local independent brewery, producing their b**r on a working farm just outside Sherborne. Their b**rs are unfiltered, unfined and unpasteurised, with a big focus on British ingredients and local production.

Even the brewery itself is impressive – they’ve bored their own water source, with the borehole water filtered before brewing, and installed their own electrical substation as part of building their new 25HL brewery. It really is b**r being produced from the ground up! 🍺🌾

So yes… today was technically a brewery visit.
But we prefer to call it marketing,
product development and essential research in the name of Yeovil Rugby Club. 😂🏉

We’re really looking forward to Saturday’s BIG GAME, and even more excited to have something new and local waiting for you behind the bar.
