Here's how you can hack your mindset and 10x your results...

The prospect of going to the gym can be a very daunting and anxiety inducing thought for some people

And if you're one of those people don't scroll as this post is for you...

I've got you covered!

Here's 3 tips for you to help you overcome gym anxiety and hit your fitness goals before the year is out 💪

1. Go with a friend 😄🙏

Good old safety in numbers. Go with a friend and you'll feel more secure. They'll make the situation more social and fun.

Start by doing something together that you're both competent at (sitting on a bike/ walking on a treadmill)

After a while, you'll feel more secure as you realise people aren't watching you or laughing at you. In fact you're having fun with a friend - at this point you might want to try something like a machine that you've just seen someone use that looks easy enough to use

By doing this you'll push yourself out of your comfort zone and learn a new piece of kit - thus giving you more options in the gym 💪

2. Go at non-peak times

At quieter times the gym is less intimidating.
Less people means less eyes on you and no one will be watching and judging 🧐

Quieter times are typically later in the evening 20:00 onwards, mid day 12:00-16:00 or super early in the morning (pre 06:00)

At these times with less people, you'll be able to zoom in and out and no one will know you're even there!!

3. Follow a plan / hire a trainer

Following a plan will help give you confidence as you'll know exactly what you're doing without the need of aimlessly wandering around.

If you're working with a trainer, they'll do all the ground work for you and make sure you're doing things safely!

Working with a trainer helps you feel more secure to as you'll likely be having a good laugh and forget that you're even exercising!

Don't let the thought of the gym being an intimidating place hold you back!

The truth is everyone is in there for themselves (they're not watching you), and most don't know what they're doing too (they're not judging you for it) ...
