Please meet us at the SU for 7:30pm, where we would make our way to the Old Bank for 8:00pm!!

Safety on nights out and drinking responsibility 💙

With our first social being announced soon, here are some tips to make sure to stay safe and to have fun on your night out.

Remember you can always come to any of our committee members if you feel unsafe or have any questions, we will always be around to help!💙

This year we have a lot planned!🏐

With weekly training sessions, varsity, Christmas meals, friendlies, socials and awards night, there's so much going on💙

Feel free to message us if you have any further questions about the club or volleyball :)

If you're attending the trial sessions on Monday or Friday, make sure to bring the following~

- plenty of water
- wear something comfortable (tshirt, shorts or leggings also!),
- suitable shoes, knee pads (if you have any!)
- last of all bring good positive energy!!

Although we recommend walking, these are some of the other alternatives to getting to the Haxby Sports Barn to training!💙

- There are the Number 1 (Wigginton) (most direct stop), 5 (Strensall), 5a (Strensall) buses that can get you near the Haxby Sports hall!

🚍📍We will be doing a walking bus from the SU at 7PM on Monday, 7PM on Friday before each of the trial session to make it easier for you and everyone to reach to the sports hall!

As the YSJ Volleyball team, we welcome all abilities, from players that haven't played before, to players that have experience in the sport, we want you!🫵🏻

Some further information about us and the club!!

• 2 BUCs Teams - For YSJ Volleyball, we compete in the BUCs league in both the men's and women's categories against other universities, where we did extraordinarily well in both!🏆

• Weekly training sessions - We train twice a week at Haxby Sports Barn, where information will be released and updated once the timings are officially confirmed.💪🏻🏐

• Weekly Wednesday social nights - Our social sec Beca has planned our Wednesday socials where we as a club can get together, relax and to have fun on nights out!🎉🥂

• Sober socials - For people that don't want to drink on nights out we have other socials planned where we have a quieter night such as games night, movie nights, baking socials and etc! 📽️📚🎂🎮

• Friendlies - We also play against other universities in friendly matches and games for players that want to gain further experience within the sport! 🏐

And many more!!

As a club as a whole we have many activities, and matches planned throughout this season! This includes Christmas meals, End of year meal, Varsity, Charity work, and Sports Awards!💙

We are so excited to meet you and everyone at the annual YSJ Fresher's Fair scheduled for Wednesday 25th September!

Open to all abilities and skill levels regardless if you have or haven't been playing, we want you to give volleyball a try!💙
