What is T'ai Chi? T'ai Chi is a Chinese health art practised daily by millions of people. Why practice T'ai Chi? T'ai Chi has many potential benefits.
It is a series of gentle flowing movements that are learned as a sequence. Tai Chi form is the basic exercise set, but weapons sets with swords, sticks Etc can also be learnt. Spring T'ai Chi Weekend Course
Two Days of Relaxation, Energy & Discovery
Saturday 21st March & Sunday 22nd March 2026
Venue: Inmans Road Primary School, Hedon HU12 8NL
Take time out this spring to relax, recharge and reconnect with your body and mind. Join us for a special two‑day T'ai Chi training weekend led Sheila and her team of experienced instructors in a warm, welcoming environment.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced T'ai Chi practitioner, this weekend offers something for everyone.
Flexible Attendance Attend in the way that suits you best:
Full Day: £30 Half Day: £15 10am -12.00 12.30pm - 2.30pm (you will need refreshments)
Attend Saturday, Sunday, or both days
The choice is completely yours.
Personal Tuition: You will be supported by a team of dedicated T'ai Chi instructors, as well as Sheila all available throughout the weekend
Saturday Training Option: T'ai Chi Form /T’ai Chi Sword Or explore both
Everyone will also take part in a Taoist Yoga breathing exercise designed to calm the mind, increase energy and deepen awareness.
Sunday Training Options:T’ai Chi Form / T'ai Chi Stick Or try both disciplines. The day will also include a different Taoist Yoga exercise along with awareness and relaxation techniques.
What You Will Experience
Expert instruction, a friendly and supportive atmosphere, gentle movements and relaxation. Practical breathing methods, increased balance, energy and focus.

The roads to Malton were clear, so the class this evening will be on as normal. If anyone doesn't feel like braving the weather don't worry, there is always next week. 🥶

Our T'ai Chi classes are now closed for a short break.
The York class will reopen on Wednesday 17th of September. The Malton class will reopen on Thursday 18th of September.
Beginners are welcome, the class is £7 a week, so why not come and try T'ai Chi? Contact Paul for more information.
