With the racing season getting closer I have made the very difficult decision to not carry on with my drag racing.
I will be doing my other hobbies this year instead 😀

I would like to wish all of my drag racing friends and family the best of luck this year and we will come and see everyone at some point at the track

And I would like to thank all of my sponsors over the last couple of years for your help and support

And thank you to everyone who watches my page

Well that’s it for us now for 2024 and what a fantastic weekend of racing to end with

Once again the junior class all rode amazing and super consistent

Team AJ did very well and we are all so proud of Aj setting a new pb on his new bike
Just over 10.5 at 60mph !!!! As I couldn’t be there Aj racing hero and multiple record setter uncle took Aj under his wing and helped over the weekend 🙏

We would all like to thank everyone involved including the staff and organisers at straighliners who make the championship happen

And to all the other junior riders and families who we are great friends and share many laughs at the meetings

And especially our amazing sponsors who without we couldn’t do this 🙏

The Yorkshire sunshine just waking up for what’s promising to be a beautiful weekend at Melbourne Raceway for the next round of the junior drag racing season

We have just returned home from one of the best racing weekends of the year !
Plenty of thrills and spills with no serious injuries thankfully and all classes giving the spectators some fantastic close racing

The juniors once again showed just how mature they are on the bikes riding very consistently every time
Aj was flying both days running some very close races in all rounds and got to the semis only to be knocked out to the very quiet little dark horse maiden who grabbed the win from Aj moving on to the final and winning her 2nd event this year

Our next round is august31st where we have a new faster bike arriving so fingers crossed we can keep the tempo going but a little faster

Another fantastic weekend over 😀

After Saturday bringing nothing but rain the junior class took to the wet weather on foot and all played football and ran around together until the very late hours having fun while all the parents hid in caravans and under gazebos 😂

Today (Sunday) although with on and off showers and a damp track we managed to ride along side the whole junior class making some fantastic racing and some huge wheel spins 😀😀

Getting through to the finals we were up against AJ’s close buddy Jack on his Spider-Man inspired bike

Both riders rode the wheels off the bikes and Jack pipped Aj for the overall win this weekend .

So we take away 2nd place and another weekend of making memories with the whole junior class

Aj even let his drag racing hero and super uncle Phil “woody”wood take to the track on his bike 😀 phil managed a 12 second 49pmh run on the little 70cc bike 💪

A huge well done to Jack and the whole junior class and we are now looking forward to the next round in august 👌

Back at Melbourne raceway for the next junior drag racing weekend and the weather isn’t playing fair at the moment ☂️☂️☂️☂️

Fingers crossed it drys soon and we can some bike time

Another fantastic weekend of racing over 😀

The bike ran both days without any issues and is getting a little faster as the new engine beds in

Once again Aj got a little carried away in the elimination round and went far too fast and broke out meaning that was his weekend was over sooner!!!

He was thrilled to bits that his breakout run was actually his fastest run setting himself a pb 😂

So that’s us done until next month but for now see the pics to show the faces of the junior racers all happy and throughly enjoying racing against their favourite people 😀

The commaradery amongst the junior class is so heart warming to watch , win loose or draw they all congratulate each other and then disappear to play football /bmx or what ever else they can do to have fun

A few successful runs today after the streetcar weekend drivers had completed there runs

But now unfortunately the weather has stopped play ☂️☂️☂️☂️☂️

Let’s hope for improved weather tomorrow 🤞🤞

Here we go again ready for a weekend of racing and lots of fun at Melbourne Raceway

Fingers crossed all goes ok and get some good results over the next two days 🤞

That’s the weekend over and what a weekend we have had !!
25 degrees of sunshine both days and some amazing racing
After some initial teething issues on day one with the new engine David Taylor had a fiddle with it and hit it running great
Day 2 the bike ran fab although the junior riders were wilting in the heat all day
After getting into the semi finals Aj unfortunately tripped the lights a split second early to knock himself out and finish 4th overall for the weekend

The little superstar Alfie got his first event win so all the juniors were so happy for him

So until next month we now have time to make some adjustments to the bike and look forward to another fab weekend
