🐰Easter egg collection 🐰
The sharks annual easter egg collection begins
We will be collecting Easter eggs for local children's homes and other charities
Stop by the bottom floor of the student Union building next to spar we will be sat at a table where you can donate eggs from 12-5 PM on Friday the 27th of March
We will be taking cash donations to buy more Easter eggs for our cause

🦈Juice Captain🦈
This week’s Juice Captain goes to Oliver Cawthorne, who’s stepped up in a big way and brought great energy to the team. On and off the field, he’s shown what it means to give your all and push the people around you to do the same.

Established in 1984 the UH Sharks are one of the founding members of British University American Football alongside Stirling and Strathclyde University. The Sharks however lost the very first British University American Football game 12-0 to The University of Stirling. Former Shark, Tom Bell was responsible for the creation of the British Collegiate American Football League (BCAFL) which was compiled of Teesside University, Manchester Metropolitan, Newcastle University and The University of Hull. The Sharks went undefeated in the inaugural season winning the Division and then claiming the very first College Bowl trophy, before going on to dominate the rest of the 80s.
Nowadays The Sharks play in the BUCS Division 1 North, of which they were divisional champions in 2016/17 and joint champions on points in 2017/18 before losing out due to an inferior games against record. The Sharks compete in the division alongside Newcastle, Northumbria, Glasgow and Edinburgh Napier University which leads to a couple of exciting away trips across the border.
Off the field The Sharks are very much a tight-knit group who place a huge emphasis on the team becoming more of a family. This was clearly demonstrated when 300+ current and former players attended the 2017 “Old Boys Weekend” held at The Deep.
