On Thursday 26th March, Wigginton Racketball players, along with two players who also represent the Stillington Ladies Squash team, travel to Gibraltar to compete in the prestigious Squash57 on the Rock Racketball Open, taking on some of Europe’s top talent.

Representing the clubs:
• Ben Riley – reigning club racketball champion
• Diane Fenwick – Ladies Over 50s British Open racketball champion
• Marie Elcock – Ladies over 35/40s England squash masters champion

All three will compete in individual and age category events, with Ben and Diane also teaming up in the mixed doubles.

Scarborough Squash Academy is proud to present round three of this exciting junior squash competition for young entry level players, looking to experience competitive Squash for the first time, gain experience, and to meet budding young players from other clubs across the region.

The competition is already enjoying great success after completion of the first two rounds held at Malton Rackets Club Squash,Tennis Racketball,Bowls, and Wigginton Squash and Social Club.

Round three promises to be equally successful and exciting, with around 40 young players having already entered and more entries arriving every day.

So if you are interested in competing in this wonderful event. Please ensure you get your entry in before the closing date on the 11th of April 2026!

✨ Stillington Squash Club - Mid Season Review

As the York and District Squash Leagues pass the midway mark, Stillington Squash Club finds itself in a commanding position. With four competitive sides in action, the club is balancing top-flight stability with exciting new growth.

In Division 1, the First Team currently sits fifth out of eight. Having built a stable points foundation in the first half of the season, the squad has steered clear of the danger zone. Barring a disaster, relegation concerns have been firmly put to bed.

Meanwhile, the Second Team is the club’s “one to watch.” Currently fourth in Division 2, they remain well within striking distance of the promotion spots. A clinical second half of the campaign could see them mount a serious charge for promotion.

The headlines this month belong to the Ladies Team, only formed at the beginning of this season, they are currently sitting proudly atop Division 1. While they have played one game more than their closest rivals—meaning their lead may be temporary—their trajectory is undeniable…
