Weโ€™ve had a fair number of people asking about when RaceRunning will be returning the the track. Like everyone else we cannot wait to get back out together.

Athletes with their own frames will be able to return on a Friday night from 9/4/2021. In line with England Athletics, COYAC and University guidance you will need to have signed up first for an agreed time slot, have paid up membership of COYAC (we will write to everyone separately) and will only able to attend with one assistant who is in their bubble, two assistants will be allowed only when a transfer on/off the frame needs 2 people. We are sorry but at this time family groups are not allowed. Whilst coaches will be available for these sessions any technical adjustments to a frame are the responsibility of the athlete.

For athletes who use a club frame then the start back date has to be delayed due to social distancing requirements. This is because no athlete can use a club running frame without it being sized, and technically adjusted by a club coach with the athlete on the frame. As previously a booking will be needed to ensure the right size equipment will be available.

The volunteers will be assessing the club equipment and doing essential maintenance as soon as we have access to the track. We will continue to work within government guidance and once open sessions can resume the dates and times for bookings will be published here.

There have been a few enquiries about when we will be able to get back to RaceRunning.
Whilst there is any form of social distancing it will be virtually impossible to assist those who want to use a racerunner due to the need to adjust frames for each individual. We are waiting for each government update and working with COYAC and once itโ€™s safe to return to the track we will let you know.

It is with regret that Friday club nights will be suspended until further notice. In addition the Saturday come and try events in April and May are also cancelled.
Keep safe everyone ๐Ÿคž

And now the typo amended on dates:
Can't wait to see lots of smiling faces this coming year.

Besides having RaceRunners the club also has access to wheelchair racers. If you fancy getting mobile why not come and give it a try.

And RaceRunning is back......after the dark, cold and wet Friday night and weekend come and try sessions are booked for 2020.
Friday nights start from 20th March at 6pm and 7pm. Bookings essential to ensure a frame is available.
The come and try sessions last an hour between 10am and 2pm, again booking essential to ensure the right size frame is available.
If you have your own frame come on down and join in any session.
