RESULTS…

Yesterday saw both our teams facing 2 great teams.
Our first team who was at home to new earswick were all out for 137 chasing a strong first innings of 218/6.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Nishad Nazeer reaching his 50!
- Rusty Johnson presenting himself as a squashy sweet

Our 2nd team were chasing a strong first innings from sherif Hutton bridge who scored 246/5 leaving dringhouses all out in the second innings for 111.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Micky Kenyons bowling going for only 22 runs off 10 overs
- Lee bellerby pulling 30 runs out on the scorching day

After the match our second team returned home to dringhouses where the sun was shining, beers were shared and a good old game of wicket cricket took place where both teams laughed for hours. It’s what it’s all about!

THIS SATURDAY….🏏

You’ll find our 1st team playing at home against Newearswick 1pm start. We also have Kayleigh making her debut of making teas. Will we be satisfied or will we be sending her back to the score box… you decide.

Our second team is out at sheriff Hutton bridge also 1pm start.

We fielded well with some great wickets taken.
Andy Kenyon and Daniel Snaith secured the win for us with batting over half a century each.
It was a fun match to play, watch and enjoy some sun ☀️

Today is the last indoor game of the season for our ladies team. Over 15 different ladies have represented the club for the 1st time, over the last few weeks in their 1st games of cricket. A huge thanks to all the other clubs involved who have made this such a fun and great environment for everyone to develop their games ahead of playing outside. Another Sunday of Ladies Cricket saw line up with almost a fully changed side due to the strong amount of ladies we have involved! We faced a tough .official who were both impressive with bat and ball and came out on top. But it was Dringhouses with a strong batting performance beating . Well done to all the teams involved a great afternoon of Cricket and great to see the teams developing through the competition.

It took us 140 years to have a ladies team but only 2 games to get a win 🥳. A fantastic afternoon of cricket saw us comfortably beaten by a strong team who showed their experience. But is was Dringhouses who came out top in a close game V . Well done to everyone involved!

Great turn out for our ladies training session ahead of their league debut next week in the indoor league. Some great skills on show, good luck to everyone in the league 🏏 💪
