Congratulations to our Women’s team who started off their 2025 Indoor League campaign with two wins this afternoon!

Yapham Cricket Club are excited to announce our intro to cricket programme aimed at all women and girls ages year 5 and above!

Girls’ Cricket is booming, with 20% more girls playing in 2024 than the previous year, and there is a big drive by the England & Wales Cricket Board to encourage even more girls to try the game.
Yapham Cricket Club will be running a programme of Women and Girls Cricket coaching sessions starting on Sunday January 19th for 5 weeks at Pocklington School Sports Hall. The sessions will be open to all girls from School Years 5 upwards, regardless of previous experience, and will run from 3pm to 4pm each week.

Sessions will be led by Robyn Dennington, our Women’s 1st team captain, Yorkshire CCC player, and ECB qualified Core Coach.

Massive thank you to all of those who helped out in preparation and lead up to the day, and also those who donated their time and effort on the day itself. Your support and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, we greatly appreciate every second. It’s fundraisers like this that keeps the club going!

Our highest EVER total and that probably is solely down to the huge numbers of volunteers we had. The day ran so smoothly with super efficiency and honestly was a breeze in comparison to previous years.
We were even set up and cleared down in record time.

For the kids too we are running a Mario Kart tournament too, so it’s definitely for the whole family.

As the club gets ready for the coming 2024 season, lets have a look at last season statistics. The Women were undefeated in their season last year winning the league. The 1st team finished 6th in the Division 1 and the 2nd team finished 4th in Division 4.
