Cracking afternoon/evening session at Villa Farm Pond. Fished 6/8mm soft expander pellets under a waggler, feeding plenty of hard feed pellets and ended up with seven carp, largest of which was just over 5lb. Even needed to slip the net under some quality roach and rudd who were also partial to my pellets.

"Great to see people out enjoying the river Derwent, but a quick setup tip for targeting barbel in smaller, snaggy waters like this!
🎣When you are fishing right next to thick snags, a high tripod and multiple rods can actually work against you. Barbel are incredibly powerful and will bolt straight into the roots the second they take the bait. For the best success and to keep the fish safe, try these adjustments:Ditch the tripod: Keep your rod low and firmly secured in a single bankstick. Fish one rod: It allows you to stay 100% focused on every single tap and pull.Sit on the rod: Stay within arm's reach so you can lock down and hit the bite instantly.Point the tip: Keep your rod tip pointing down the line towards the rig to prevent the fish from gaining any momentum or angle to dive into those snags. Please use a bit of common sense, don’t believe everything on you tube. This is not the river Trent and Tight lines everyone.
