A HIGHLANDS ARMISTICE – York Mountaineering Club The seven Macdonalds were attacking the house, with the woman inside. Until the menfolk returned and killed them. A memorial to this raid of 1620 began our route from Ardvorlich House by Loch Earn.

Wales 1 – York Mountaineering Club The Wales weekend started wet and windy. We stayed at the magnificent Glan Dena hut at the foot of Tryfan, owned by the Midland Association of Mountaineers. Lots of parking, a bunk room with no triple bunks and our very own lounge. Plus showers and a huge kitchen. Perfect.
