The first recorded match was contested here in 1858. Cricket, more than any other sport, is as much about the setting as the game.
Hovingham Hall is believed to be the oldest private cricket ground in England and has been home to the Worsley family since 1563

It’s the time of year to starting thinking cricket…As with many clubs AGM looming and we’re no different so members and potential new members welcome. Friday 31st Jan village hall Hovingham 7pm.
Also a note that indoor nets due to start mid Feb on Wednesday 12th @ Terrington Prep School.
