Instead of trying to over complicate things this new year by starting too many good habits, or stopping too many bad habits, or trying to be good/bad/better than the person you were in 2024…
Just keep it simple by trying this rule of 3:
1️⃣🥪Eat 3 meals a day
2️⃣🥤Drink 3 large glasses of water a day
3️⃣🚴🏻Get 3 hours of exercise over the week
💤
Oh yes and get some quality SLEEP! Easy start for your first 2 weeks!!

It’s Monday 6th January and everyone is done with Christmas, snow, back to work and getting kids ready to go back to school! That means one thing… Who is starting their “new year new me” resolutions today!? I am!! 👍🏻
Although you may be ready mentally it can sometimes be really hard to put this into practice, you may reduce your eating, cut out everything you like, over commit to starting to run or exercise every day. It can be tough - and overcommitment can lead to failure! 😞

Soup season! 🧡
I absolutely love a warming, comforting healthy bowl of hot steaming soup! BUT I do not love being absolutely starving hungry by mid afternoon! 😩
Yes soup is a great way to eat healthily, get all your vegetables and nutrients in a low calorie meal! BUT the calories are so low, there is very little protein in it and a slice of bread and butter is not filling enough to sustain you through the afternoon!
This soup is roast vegetable and tomato soup (homemade) at just 150kcals per bowl it’s nowhere near enough to keep me going! BUT if you add in a ham sandwich, and some cooked rice and lentils you’re bulking it out with additional protein (to fill you up) and carbs (to keep your engine going) so you can create a healthy filling balanced meal!

Preparation is key! Take a spare half an hour and prep yourself a large meal that can be eaten over a couple of days, or each meal you cook put a portion or 2 in the freezer for the days when you can’t be a*sed! Here’s some chilli, some sloppy joes and a pasta sauce to keep us prepped for a few days!! Saves time, calories and money too!

September is here, the Summer holidays are over and the nights are drawing in, back to school for the kids, and back into a routine. 🥳
It’s been fun, holidays, eating and drinking a little more than we usually do, late nights, more eating out, bbqs and takeaways! 🍻🍷🍔😴
But I don’t know about you but I feel a little sluggish - tired, lacking energy and a bit bloated and it’s time to get back to some consistency with my eating and training!
Join me rebalancing and losing fat by still eating real food, not cutting out food groups, not going without and most importantly NOT feeling hungry!

We did it!!! 💪🏽💪🏽I got back to the competition floor after a 4year hiatus! got to achieve her goal from 2019 After disappointment in December, but we made it to for a same s*x pairs scaled comp, and we didn’t let ourselves down!
4 brutal workouts - a fantastic atmosphere - tough competition- a lot of burpees - and some “down ups” along the way! Finishing in a respectable 19th is not bad for a first attempt.
Shandy’s and burgers to celebrate - oh yes and happy Father’s Day you got to hang out with your daughter at a CrossFit comp… best day ever!

We are all very good at looking at the negatives and listening to the excuses and negative thoughts in our heads. Today I’ve had a super positive day - but each step of the way has been the excuses I’ve had to overcome… it’s not always easy and sometimes I give in. But positive vibes only today!
