Wilberfoss AFC

Wilberfoss AFC Wilberfoss AFC are represented at both senior and youth levels (via Wilberfoss Mavericks) and are a recognised FA Charter Standard Club.

Based 9 miles East of York, Wilberfoss AFC are represented by two senior teams (1st & res) that compete in the York and District Leagues as well as York league and East Riding cup competitions We currently run two senior sides, our first team competing in York and District Division 3 and reserve side who play in York and District Reserve C.

‘The Pavillion’ clubhouse offers a professionally run bar that serves homemade food and is available to hire for functions. There are lots of reasons to join and be part of an ever growing Wilberfoss AFC. Directions to the Club:

From York:
Follow the A1079 towards Hull. Stay on this road for 9 miles before taking your first entry into the Village from the A1079. Follow Main street through the village before turning left down Storking lane just before the village shop. Once on Storking lane, follow for 300 yards before taking left as the street begins to bend to the right . There is a sign post 'Sports pavilion' on the right hand side of the street opposite the entrance up to the club. From Pocklington:
Follow the A1079 towards York. Enter the Village at the first junction on your right. Follow main street, past the pub (oddfellows Arms) turn right onto Storking Lane after passing the village shop.

It's the first final in our preseason Memorial cup tournament tonight as our 2nd team take on Wilberfoss AFC in the Neil Green cup final.
Can Pock go one better than last season when they lost on penalties to the same opponents?
It's a 7pm ko and our Social club will be open from 6 o'clock.

** LAVERACK LEAVES FOSS AFTER 18 YEARS **

Yesterday saw the final act for Dave Laverack as manager after 6 years running our 1st team and a total of 18 years at the club after he played for us since the age of 16 in the senior set-up!

A massive thank you to him for all his time and effort that he has put in over the years at the club keeping the senior team running week to week and organising the lads for games, socials, trips away and a number of other jobs! He will be missed around the club but has left the club in a miles better position than when he took it over!

Dave Laverack - This club means a lot to me and will be a big miss next season with it being the first year in 18 years I haven’t been part of the club but I know this group of players at the club have got everything it takes to go and make next season a success alongside the youth teams coming through over the next couple of seasons to strength the club back to 2 teams again!

We wish him every success with Harrogate Town Academy next season and his move up north! Don’t be a stranger!
