The Zoo Skatepark York

It is with great regret that we have had to make the decision to close Zoo Skatepark for the foreseeable future 😪.

The COVID restrictions along with some structural improvements that we need to make to the site have meant that we are unable to re-open the site to our members. The team at Zoo are devastated about the decision and we understand that this will come as a blow to all 300+ of our loyal members as well as the wider skater community in York.

We will be continuing to try to resolve these issues and hopefully we will be able to bring Zoo back at some point in the future but for now we would like to say a massive thank you to our members, supporters and followers for all of their kind wishes, support and donations over this really challenging period.

Good luck to all of the indoor leisure facilities reopening this weekend. We're not ready to reopen just yet but we're working hard alongside C*C to get the skatepark open in a way that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Please keep an eye on our social media channels and website for updates.

We are so excited about the government’s decision to allow some indoor sports facilities to reopen from 25th July.
We are working hard alongside City of York Council under guidance from Skateboard England and Sport England to get the Skatepark back open in a way that is both safe and enjoyable for everyone.
