⚠️ Due to the sharp drop in temperature, non-stop heavy rains and the danger of rising water levels in the river to a critical level, we decided to postpone the event for a week and Bzhuzha Race 2022 will be held on May 14/15 with more sun and good flows. ☀️🌊

👉 Because safety comes first and overall - it all about fun ! 🙂

Last winter was very snowy and the mountains are still full of snowpacks.
It should be the prime water level for the race this year. At the same time, the river bed is full of new tree logs.
We made an clean up meeting last weekend:
- The upper part of extreme race is forbidden to run.
- Long race section is possible to run, but it is full of new logs.
- Qualification and lower part are clean.
- New tree logs can appears while the high flood.

Hereby - We, the “Bzhuzha Race” team, express our solidarity with Ukraine and the people of Ukraine during this difficult times. Georgia - whose 20% of territory is still occupied by Russia, understands best the pain that Ukraine is going through today. We strongly condemn the war of aggression against the sovereign state of Ukraine by the Russian government, that is disregarding all the values of humanity and sport. We join the sanctions issued by the most of sport organizations and federations worldwide and decided that athletes from Russia will be suspended from competing at Bzhuzha Race. We understand that Russian athletes that don’t support the actions of their government are being punished - but the cost for athletes and people in Ukraine is much higher.

Ukraine Relief Fundraiser

We are lucky to live in a stable and peaceful democracy, whilst many live with the harsh reality of the many dreadful wars around the world. This war in Europe, in an area where some of our staff come from, where our customers are being bombed, brings that reality far too close to home.
