Bzhuzha race is the first and only extreme kaya race in Georgia (country)
Bzhuzha race is a new word in white water world, Itβs the first and only extreme kayak race in Georgia, where kayaking just started gain among the local people. We are confident that Bzhuzha race will be a powerful impetus for the development of white water sports and kayaking in Georgia, and will open the country as a good white water area for the international kayak community.

β οΈ Due to the sharp drop in temperature, non-stop heavy rains and the danger of rising water levels in the river to a critical level, we decided to postpone the event for a week and Bzhuzha Race 2022 will be held on May 14/15 with more sun and good flows. βοΈπ
π Because safety comes first and overall - it all about fun ! π

We decide to make a festival format this year.
A detailed schedule is available on our website.
We are happy to announce that Saturday 7th May after 15:00 we will organize Open Festival Run available for everybody.

Last winter was very snowy and the mountains are still full of snowpacks.
It should be the prime water level for the race this year. At the same time, the river bed is full of new tree logs.
We made an clean up meeting last weekend:
- The upper part of extreme race is forbidden to run.
- Long race section is possible to run, but it is full of new logs.
- Qualification and lower part are clean.
- New tree logs can appears while the high flood.
