Georgian Contact Festival

A week ago, the Israeli association of CI published an update that it would not be able to hold this year's festival.

In the current situation, this decision seems obvious.

Nevertheless, for all of us, this festival is an important event of the year - a place to meet our loved ones, friends, and ultimately - ourselves.

I have been going to this festival from 2016 to 2020, and I feel. that I got a lot out of it - from these people, from this land, and from this event.

I have the opportunity to provide a venue for a contact gathering - in Georgia, where the Silent Contact Festival, which many of you have been to, has been held for the past 5 years.

Georgia is a land of generosity and love, where there has never been a pogrom and where people from different countries live in peace under one sky.

We are organising a contact gathering, 18 - 24 December, and inviting dancers from Israel and friends from all over the world - so that the dance continues and people meet each other.

In the breathtaking Highlands of Western Georgia, a dance experience of a lifetime is becoming. Join us for the Silent Contact Festival 2023, taking place just one month from now. This international event, now in its fifth year, gathers contact dancers from all corners of the globe.

This year, we are thrilled to present two intensive led by Eszter Gal (Hungary). Complementing these intensives are four extraordinary single classes by Lena Gubkova (BY), Grusha Tsiolkovsky (SPB) Daria Lukina (Togo), and our very own Yu Gen (UA).

Come to dance in profound silence and immerse yourself in the depths of contact practice amidst the lush green mountains of Gomarduli. Then, extend your stay for a soul-stirring 4-day jam by the warm, inviting sea in Batumi.
