26 მაისს, ნატოს სამეკავშირეო ოფისი უერთდება ქართველ ხალხს საქართველოს დამოუკიდებლობის დღის აღნიშვნაში და ზეიმობს ქართველი ხალხის თავისუფლებას, მედეგობას და ურყევ სულისკვეთებას.

დამოუკიდებლობის მოპოვებიდან, საქართველომ ნატოსთან მჭიდრო პარტნიორობა დაამყარა. ნატო მტკიცედ უჭერს მხარს საქართველოს სუვერენიტეტსა და ტერიტორიულ მთლიანობას, მის საერთაშორისოდ აღიარებულ საზღვრებში.

🇬🇪 Happy Independence Day!

On 26 May, the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia joins the people of Georgia in celebrating Georgia’s Independence Day, celebrating freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the Georgian people.

Since regaining independence, Georgia has built a strong partnership with NATO. NATO stands firm in its support to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, within its internationally recognised borders.

🎉ვაცხადებთ მიღებას 2026 წლის ნატოს სამხრეთ კავკასიის საზაფხულო სკოლაში ქართველი ახალგაზრდა ლიდერებისთვის !

🌐გიწვევთ პროგრამაში, სადაც მონაწილეები უნიკალურ საერთაშორისო გამოცდილებას მიიღებენ. სკოლა გაიმართება 6-11 ივლისს ლატვიის დედაქალაქ რიგაში.

🔵მონაწილეები გაიღრმავებენ ცოდნას ნატოს მისიის, ღირებულებების, სტრუქტურისა და ისტორიის შესახებ, ისევე როგორც ნატოს პარტნიორობაზე სამხრეთ კავკასიაში. პროგრამა აგრეთვე მოიცავს პრაქტიკულ სავარჯიშოს დეზინფორმაციასთან ბრძოლის საკითხებზე და ვიზიტს ლატვიის საჯარო ინსტიტუტებში. პროგრამა გაიმართება ინგლისურ ენაზე.

🔷განაცხადის შემოტანა შეუძლიათ 20-დან-26 წლამდე სტუდენტებსა და კურსდამთავრებულებს საქართველოდან. მონაწილეობის მისაღებად სავალდებულოა ინგლისური ენის მაღალ დონეზე ცოდნა.

📌სკოლა ორგანიზებულია ნატოს სამეკავშირეო ოფისის მიერ, ლატვიის საგარეო საქმეთა სამინისტროსთან თანამშრომლობით. პროექტში მონაწილეობასთან დაკავშირებულ ხარჯებს უზრუნველყოფს ნატოს სამეკავშირეო ოფისი საქართველოში.

🎉Call for Applications: NATO South Caucasus Summer School for Georgian Young Leaders 2026 !

🌐 We invite you to join the programme, where participants will gain unique international experience. The school will take place during 6-11 July in Riga, Latvia.

🔵Participants will deepen their knowledge of NATO’s mission, values, structure, and history, as well as NATO’s partnerships in the South Caucasus. The programme will also include practical training on countering disinformation and visit to various Latvian public institutions. The entire programme will be conducted in English.

🔷Applications are open to students and recent graduates from Georgia aged 20-26. A high level of English proficiency is required for participation.

📌The school is organized by the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. Expenses related to participation will be covered by the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia.

🔵 2026 წლის 7-8 მაისს, ნატოს გენერალური მდივნის სპეციალური წარმომადგენელი კავკასიასა და ცენტრალურ აზიაში, ელჩი კევინ ჰამილტონი, საქართველოს ესტუმრა.

ვიზიტის ფარგლებში, ელჩი ჰამილტონი შეხვდა საგარეო საქმეთა მინისტრს, მაკა ბოჭორიშვილს და თავდაცვის მინისტრს ირაკლი ჩიქოვანს. ის ასევე შეხვდა საქართველოს სამოქალაქო საზოგადოების წარმომადგენლებს, ალიანსის წევრ ელჩებს, ნატოს სამეკავშირეო ოფისის პერსონალს და დაესწრო ჩრდილო-ატლანტიკური ალიანსის 77-ე იუბილესადმი მიძღვნილ ღონისძიებას.

ელჩმა ჰამილტონმა მოინახულა ადმინისტრაციული სასაზღვრო ზოლი, სოფელი ოძისის მიმდენარედ, სადაც მას ეცნობა რეგიონში არსებული უსაფრთხოების, ადამიანის უფლებებისა და ჰუმანიტარული მდგომარეობის შესახებ. "ნატო ყოველთვის მხარს დაუჭერს საქართველოს, რომელიც არის ერთიანი და თავისუფალი საერთაშორისოდ აღიარებულ საზღვრებში," აღნიშნა მან.

ის აგრეთვე ესტუმრა ნატო-საქართველოს წვრთნებისა და შეფასების ეროვნულ ცენტრს (JTEC), სადაც მიმოიხილეს საქართველოს თავდაცვისუნარიანობის გაძლიერება და ალიანსთან მისი თავსებადობის გაზრდის მიზნით მიმდინარე საერთო ძალისხმევები.

🔵 On 7–8 May 2026, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton, visited Georgia.

During his visit, Ambassador Hamilton held meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili and Minister of Defence Irakli Chikovani, focusing on NATO-Georgia cooperation. He also met with representatives of Georgia’s civil society, Allied Embassies, staff at the NATO Liaison Office in Tbilisi, and attended a reception hosted by the NATO Liaison Office to mark the 77th anniversary of the Alliance.

Ambassador Hamilton visited the administrative boundary line near the village of Odzisi, where he was briefed on the security, human rights, and humanitarian situation in the region. "NATO will always support a Georgia which is whole, free, and at home within its internationally recognised borders," he underscored.

He subsequently visited the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC), where he reviewed ongoing collaborative efforts to strengthen Georgia's defence capabilities and enhance its interoperability with the Alliance.

დელეგაცია სამ დღიანი ვიზიტით ეწვია ნატო-საქართველოს წვრთნებისა და შეფასების ერთობლივ ცენტრს (JTEC), რომელიც ნატო-საქართველოს არსებითი პაკეტის (SNGP) ერთ-ერთ მთავარ ინიციატივას წარმოადგენს.

ვიზიტის მიზანი იყო არსებული მდგომარეობის შესწავლა, შესაძლებლობებისა და საჭიროებების ანალიზი და მომავალი თანამშრომლობისთვის საერთო ხედვის ჩამოყალიბება, რაც კიდევ უფრო გააძლიერებს JTEC-ის წვლილს ალიანსის პარტნიორობის საქმიანობაში.

🔹 Honoured to host a rich spectrum of NATO bodies at the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia.

NATO representatives from the NATO Headquarters - International Staff Operations Division and International Military Staff, SHAPE Partnerships Directorate, HQ Supreme Allied Command Transformation Partnerships Branch, Joint Force Training Center, and NATO School Oberammergau conducted a 3-day scoping visit to the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) which a key initiative under the Substantial NATO Georgia Package.

The objective of the scoping visit was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current situation, assess existing capabilities and requirements, and establish a shared understanding for future engagement. This would further enhance JTEC’s contribution to NATO’s partnership activities.

The team also had engaging and fruitful discussions at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia.

🔵 2026 წლის 24 აპრილს, ნიდერლანდების საგარეო საქმეთა სამინისტროს ახალგაზრდული ასოციაციის წევრების დელეგაცია, რომელიც ახალგაზრდა სახელმწიფო მოხელეებს აერთიანებს, ნატოს სამეკავშირეო ოფისს ესტუმრა.

ვიზიტის ფარგლებში ჯგუფს მიეწოდა ინფორმაცია ნატოს სამეკავშირეო ოფისის საქმიანობისა და მანდატის შესახებ, ნატოსა და საქართველოს ურთიერთობებზე, ასევე ნატოს პრაქტიკულ თანამშრომლობაზე სამხრეთ კავკასიის რეგიონში, მათ შორის სომხეთსა და აზერბაიჯანში.

🔵 On 24 April 2026, a delegation from the youth association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, bringing together young civil servants, visited the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia.

During the visit, the group was briefed on the work and mandate of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia, NATO-Georgia relations, and NATO’s practical cooperation across the wider South Caucasus region, including in Armenia and Azerbaijan.

1989 წლის 9 აპრილს, საქართველოს დამოუკიდებლობისთვის გამართული მშვიდობიანი დემონსტრაცია საბჭოთა სამხედრო ძალებმა ძალადობრივად დაარბიეს, რის შედეგადაც დაიღუპა სულ მცირე 20 ადამიანი და ასობით მოქალაქე დაშავდა.

ორი წლის შემდეგ, 1991 წლის 9 აპრილს, საქართველომ აღიდგინა დამოუკიდებლობა. ჩვენ პატივს მივაგებთ იმ ადამიანებს, რომლებმაც საკუთარი სიცოცხლე გაიღეს თავისუფლებისთვის ბრძოლაში.

On 9 April 1989, a peaceful demonstration for Georgia’s independence in Tbilisi was violently dispersed by Soviet troops, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 people and leaving many more injured.

Two years later, on 9 April 1991, Georgia restored its independence. We honour the memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom.
