The Cambridge English Language examinations C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency are accepted by universities, multinational organisations and companies around the world.

One of the biggest advantages of Cambridge English qualifications is that once you receive a Cambridge English certificate at a certain level, the certificate remains valid forever!

We all know how nerve-wracking exams can be, so, another great point about Cambridge exams is that if a student sits an exam and narrowly misses achieving the level of the exam they were taking, they will receive a certificate of the level below or conversely if they do particularly well, the level above that exam.
This means if you were taking a Cambridge First (B2) exam and you didn’t quite get enough marks for a B2 certificate you would still be awarded a B1 certificate and if you performed really well on a B2 exam you would be awarded a C1 certificate.

Today's information about Cambridge English qualifications is about speaking tests, which are an integral part of all the Cambridge exams.

Unlike many other exams, the speaking section of Cambridge's Young Learner, General English and Business exams is conducted face to face with our expert examiners. General English and Business English candidates undertake the test with a partner, providing students with the closest possible real-life experience in a testing scenario.

Following on from yesterday’s post about what Cambridge English can offer younger learners, today I want to share with you what Cambridge English has to offer adult language learners.
Each General English Cambridge exam focuses on a level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) starting at Elementary (A2) and going up to Proficiency -near native speaker level (C2), helping learners to improve their speaking, writing, reading and listening skills step by step.
Students prepare for the exam at the level they are closest to, so, for example if you are an Upper Intermediate level student you would prepare for the Cambridge First exam (B2 level).

It’s the start of a new year and many of us may have made New Year’s resolutions- something you want to do better in 2023 or perhaps something you no longer want to do- like giving up a bad habit.

It’s not unusual to want to improve your language skills and that’s why I thought I would share with you some things you probably didn't know about Cambridge English qualifications.

Over the next seven days I will be providing you with information about Cambridge English qualifications and what makes them different from other qualifications!

Number 1 - did you know that Cambridge English has specially designed English qualifications for children? This special suite of exams is called "Young Learners". The exams are very interactive and children enjoy them! That’s not all- Cambridge English offers a version of A2 Key, B1 Preliminary and B2 First for schoolchildren which contains topics more appropriate for school age children. The certificate the students receive shows the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)level they achieve and in terms of CEFR level the certificate is no different to the adult certificate.
