The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has approved the use of synthetic shuttlecocks from Yonex and Victor in Grade 3 and junior international tournaments. This initiative is part of a long-term effort to evaluate whether synthetic alternatives can meet elite competition standards.

While traditional feather shuttlecocks remain the gold standard for their precision and control, synthetic versions offer improved durability and consistency—making them a promising option for the future of the sport.
