Antony is getting ready to host the European Championships and preparing to deliver a fantastic showcase for fencing.

A perfect occasion to visit the training session, meet the athletes, and motivate young fencers to come support their champions—and even join the event as volunteers!

Back in Luxembourg for EuroFenceLeague: great fencing, great audience, and an amazing team behind the scenes – and in the end, rivals at the bar, toasting sportsmanship and the spirit of our sport.

Youth Championships are intense, emotionally and technically. But there is only one person who will leave as champion, and every round has 50% losers.
In a nutshell, losing is part of the process or rephrasing it: always come back winning one more time than you are losing.

As Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games draw closer, Senegal is already shaping its future athletes.
Through a new school-based programme educating on civic and Olympic values, entire classes are introduced to Olympic values and get their first taste of fencing. And what better backdrop than the ongoing World Cups and the upcoming African Championships in Dakar, turning today’s schoolchildren into tomorrow’s champions on home soil.

I’ve said this many times: fencing is so much more than just the sport itself.
When I was in Nairobi, Kenya, helping to found the federation, I met a young woman who was fascinated by fencing: Esther Wanjiku, aka “Pekena”.
Fencing gave Esther energy and inspiration. She fell in love with the sport, stayed around competitions, and kept giving a helping hand – even when she was no longer actively training.
Today, she sees fencing through her artist’s eyes and brings it back to life in oil on canvas. A sport that once kept her dreaming has helped her become the artist she is now .

RIP Colette Flesch, a Grande Dame of Fencing from Luxembourg – Olympic fencer at Rome, Tokyo and Mexico City, bronze medal at 1958 Junior Worlds.
From piste to parliament as Luxembourg City's first female mayor and Foreign Minister; she never lost touch: FLE President twice for a total of 9 years, always at our tournaments awarding medals with that warm smile.
Visionary for women's rights.
Leading by example. Farewell, Colette.

Inspection visit in Tbilisi with FIE Event Manager , EFC DT President Filip Vukovic and EFC Secretary General Jacek Slupski.
President , Secreatry General and Technical Director of the Georgian Fencing Federation are ready to bring the FIE playbook to life.
Closing the day by awarding medals to the Junior Women’s Foil World Cup winners – always a pleasure when official and administrative work is directly linked to real fencing on the piste.
Congrats to the winners and to the respective federations for the work done upfront.

Honored to hold a short laudation at the official launch of the 120th anniversary celebrations of the French Fencing Federation during this special CIP week in Paris. A privilege to witness the nail‑biting foil finals at Stade Pierre de Coubertin, in the presence of Île‑de‑France Vice‑President Patrick Karam, and to discover a new fencing‑inspired watch, imagined, designed and engineered by two passionate fencers themselves.
