🙌 🏑 Starting tomorrow and running for the next 4 Mondays (excluding May Bank holiday).

The children at Sark School enjoy Teya, Guernsey Hockey Association coach, coming over to take their sessions and teach them hockey 💚

This session is for adults (16+), whether you’re just wanting to do something to keep active, dust off your school/Uni skills, have played lots before or are keen to try something new - Come along and have some fun!

This could be the start of a Sark Hockey Club revival 👀

Today was a WIN for 🇨🇶 Sark Cricket Club! 👏 After a slightly late start 🌧️ the opposition, Broke Bat CC fielded first and the Sark team of 10 put in a solid 126 off 20 overs. The De Carteret brothers batting partnership resulted in 52 runs 🏏 before both were bowled in fairly quick succession.

Delicious lunch from The Captains Bar & Bon Marin Cafe at The Island Hall & Community Centre🥪 🍰 fueled the teams for the second half which saw Sark into field…. weather caused a brief stop in play, but a final and determined 20 minutes confirmed that the day really belonged to the bowlers! Particular shout outs to Olly de Carteret with 2 wickets and Gary Hamon with 5🤯 … just 12 against in 4 overs💪 🍻 Beers well earned!

🏏 Training is Tuesday evenings 5.30pm on the Millennium Field and everyone is welcome; whether you fancy learning something new or are thinking about dusting off an old bat and squeezing into the old whites, come along! 🙌

The weather didn’t put a dampener on the cricket yesterday for 🇨🇶 Sark Cricket Club vs. 🇬🇬 The Governors XI, with a great day had by players and spectators alike! 🏏 🍻

Sark’s team welcomed Andy Boast for his first match, with some confident fielding and a couple of catches to his name, followed up by a solid batting performance, including a 6! 👏

Bowling highlights must have come from Sark’s Gary Clarke, with 4 wickets, and Sark’s captain Leon Burletson batted incredibly well, with 68 scored before his wicket fell 👏

Although Sark didn’t quite get the 206 needed for the win, a super day was had by everyone and we thank the Governors XI for visiting - we’ll try and arrange some☀️ next year!

Next game is June 7th against BrokeBat CC so mark your diaries and head on up to the field at The Captains Bar & Bon Marin Cafe at The Island Hall & Community Centre
