Morning Guernsey 🇬🇬
So this morning, bright and early, I am dashing off island for the day, only for the day, so I have no hold luggage.
I also happen to be seeing my brother, who I haven’t seen in 5 years! The thought was that I would grab some amazing local products at the airport to surprise him with.
Imagine my absolute disappointment that there is almost nothing available at the Duty Free.
Shouldn’t we be showcasing what this amazing island produces? Why don’t we have a dedicated area that sells just products that are made on this island?
I definitely think this is something as an island we should consider, and yes I am not just going to moan about it, I am going to speak to as many people as I can, and see what can be done about this.
Please help me achieve this, by sharing this post, by pointing me in the right direction of who to speak to and by talking about this!
Thanks all, and have a super week!
Guernsey fencers were well represented in this weekend's BUCS University individuals held in Sheffield. Fencers from universities all over the country competed in all three weapons.
We are proud of our Guernsey fencers, James Le Maitre, Taliesin Salter, Alex Varley and Joe Berry who did their respective universities - and Guernsey - proud this weekend in the mens sabre 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤺🤺🤺

Congratulations to Ben Mills!
Guernsey En Garde is thrilled to be celebrating with Ben Mills this week. Ben successfully completed the British Fencing Introduction to Coaching course in St Albans this last weekend and has achieved his ITCF - Level 1 coaching qualification for all three weapons.
Ben dedicates hours of his free time to Guernsey En Garde every single week and is passionate about helping our young fencers reach their potential and most importantly to enjoy their fencing. Over the past months he has also completed his Safeguarding and Protecting Children course, Sports First Aid and he holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
Our Club could not operate without our wonderful volunteers and we should like to take this opportunity to thank Ben for all his hard work and enormous contribution to the Club.
Ben plans to continue to work on enhancing his skills and knowledge whilst working towards his Level 2 Coaching qualifications.
Go Ben!! 🤺
