π IsleGP β Saturday 12 September
The IsleGP is back for its second running, sailed in the IsleMaritime Colgate 26s.
Last time it was a huge success and sold out well in advance, so don't delay in signing up your team.
The Notice of Race and entry forms are on the website.
We already have two Jersey teams, so the trophy could go to the other island.
Once the racing's done, there's a BBQ on the terrace open to everyone β sailing or not β with live music into the evening (Dan Loller). Come down and join us.

The Clubhouse Project β This is a once in a generation opportunity to make our Club fully accessible and at the same time deliver modern changing facilities for the sailors, who will be the future of our sport.
On Wednesday 12 August at 18:30, the members will vote on the future of this project.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our Cornerstone and 47 Supporting Donors, Β£365,000 has already been pledged β 60% of what's needed to deliver the project in full.
That's a remarkable place to be and with the support of the remainder of the Club, I am certain that we will be able to deliver a great result.
So: please vote. In person, or by proxy if you can't be there. And please pledge what you are able. Syndicated pledges of Β£5,000 and above are welcome. Donations under that amount will be taken once we have reached our commitment targets to ensure it's financially feasible.
If the Club has meant something to you over the years, this is the moment it needs you.

Sun Yachts Cannon Trophy β Round Jethou
A gentle 4β6 knots greeted competitors on Sunday morning for the Sun Yachts Cannon Trophy, the Club's annual dash around Jethou. The forecast was enough to deter the yacht fleet but five dinghies took their chances, and were rewarded with one of the more tactical races of the season.
With so little breeze, the tide did the deciding.
On the return leg, Adam Knight's RS 100 had that bit more sail area to lean on, and used it to climb out of the tide and stretch away for the win. Back-to-back Cannon Trophies for the RS 100. Dave Aslett and Jose Guerrero took second in the 2000, with Emma Warner third in her RS Aero 5. Matt Holland (Out of the Bordeaux Blue) and Robin Bailey (Turbo Tastic) completed the fleet in their Aero 7s, fourth and fifth.
Our thanks go to Sun Yachts Limited , who not only sponsored the trophy but ably crewed and ran the racing on the water.

π THE CLUBHOUSE REDEVELOPMENT β OUR VISION
We enjoy facilities built for us over the years by Committees with a great vision of what the Club can achieve. We are at a point where we believe further investment is needed to remain relevant to the future of our sport.
We've embarked on an ambitious renovation of the Clubhouse, and two things sit at its heart:
β΅ Changing facilities fit for the next generation of sailors β our juniors, our racers, and everyone coming in off the water.
βΏ Wheelchair access and facilities, so that every member can use every part of their Club. Not some of it. All of it.
This is a community club, and it will be built the way a community club should be; through the generosity of our members and the friends of this Club.
We've put the full picture online: the fundraising plan and the architectural visuals of what the Clubhouse can become. Please give it a read.

β΅ DFM Guernsey Regatta β Day One! β΅
And we're off! Day one dawned misty over Castle Cornet, but the fleet was rewarded as the haze burned away and a lovely 10β12 knot breeze filled in β shifty enough to keep every helm and tactician honest out there.
A cracking turnout of 20 boats on the water, with four clean starts under the race team's watchful eye (and just one general recall to keep everyone on their toes ).
The fun's not over! Join us at the club this evening for our Regatta Social β BBQ for all competitors and supporters, with live music from Charlie Sherborne & Dave Hatfield. Whether you were racing or cheering from the shore, come and swap stories over good food and great tunes.
Huge thanks to our race team and volunteers for a brilliant first day, and to DFM for their continued support of this event.
More racing tomorrow β fingers crossed for another day of breeze and less mist.
