First time riding the EV8 in anger at FIM speed records event.... so not going crazy yet, pulling 215.6mph in just over a mile at only 9250rpm in street mode with regular pump gas... not bad for a road legal bike, all with a compliant exhaust, upright bars and no fairing. In race mode, running high octane fuel, it will rev to 11,000rpm.... but are you brave and strong enough to hold on...?
Eisenberg V8 motorbike
The ‘EISENBERG V8’ – Possibly the world’s most powerful, smallest and lightest V8 motorbike in the world. 3000cc V8 - 480hp (engine)
When we said we would make 'the most powerful and compact V8 motorbike' in the world, I had no idea how big the challenge would be. To make it road legal and run on regular unleaded pump fuel only made the task even harder, but if you don't succeed, try again until you do... so what better than to drive to Runway 26 and unleash the beast... and prove this is the real deal...

The EISENBERG V8 motorbike 'prototype', given pride of place at the front of the motorbike concours event @ Salon Prive, Blenheim palace, Oxfordshire. An honour to be invited and have the bike attend, before it goes racing...

The team are working flat out to get the EISENBERG V8 bike looking great for the most prestigious car and bike show of the year, the Salon Prive show on the 23/24th Sept at Blenheim palace. Zef Eisenberg will be there to discuss the bike and the tech details. The bike will start and ride at the event...
With lockdown lifted and our engineering team back on the EISENBERG V8 bike, rapid progress has been made. The battery, electrics, alternator and charging system now work great. A completely new cooling system has been designed, CFD analysed, manufactured and fitted and it holds the engine temps at a healthy 75c. Today we focused on engine mapping to make sure heat rejection was working and fuelling was working well. A few gremlins to resolve on Friday, ready for testing on the road next week.

Feeling positive, now that most of the engineering team are back and pushing full steam ahead on getting the EISENBERG V8 bike ready for shake down testing mid July, after months of delays with parts. Today the final carbon fibre intricate bottom radiator arrived.

A V8 bike with 3000cc and 480hp produces some engine heat and needs to be cooled down. This is some of the extensive CAD and CFD we've done to understand how we adapt airflow, rad design and even mudguard shape to allow adequate cooling with slow and fast speeds.

An early picture at Elvington running the engine in gently just 9000rpm @ 207mph, with upright bars in a mile. Lots of modifications made to the bike since then...

Those who are techy have questioned how do you cool a 480hp, 3000cc, V8 engine and stop it over heating. Well this is the reality....racing at 200mph, the bike will have enough air to cool itself and not over heat, like most race cars/bikes. (my H2R has no rad fan for example). Change the brief to riding in London traffic for 45mins on a 28c summer day, and that is a whole different challenge. We have performed lots of heat output, CFD testing and flow dynamics work. This has resulted in fitting a discreet front rad and hidden fan for slow riding, a sub engine rad and hidden fan for higher speeds with CFD designed air positioning grills, and a rear under seat oil cooler and mini fan. A CFD designed front mudguard will flow air towards the fans 10% better than a normal front mudguard. Using clever CFD, we have managed to fit all these rads to the bike, with no aerodynamic drag to the frontal area. The bike will be able to ride in London on sunny days and then go to Elvington and perform in Top Speeds events... tons of work, but that is what customers will expect.
