Reacted to a viral video on forex broker manipulation. Some of it is true. Some of it is over-exaggerated.
A-book, B-book splits — real. Gurus profiting off your losses through hidden broker deals — real. Fake trading histories — real.
But the video makes it sound like the whole industry works this way. It doesn’t. A properly regulated broker under FCA, ASIC, NFA or CFTC oversight makes money from the spread, not from your loss. They don’t care if you win.
The problem was never trading. The problem is most people never ask the basic questions before they deposit.
Open your eyes. Do the research before the loss, not after.

There is a powerful revelation in Genesis chapter one that I feel like a lot of people have not realized yet.

I ranked the psychological traits I see most often between male and female traders — based on years of coaching both through my mentorship program. Here is the full breakdown, including the part I did not fully explain on camera.
Overconfidence — Males 70%, Females 30%. Men trust their read on the market faster, sometimes before it has been earned.
Fear — 50/50. Every trader feels this one. No exceptions.
Hesitation — Males 30%, Females 70%. Women want everything perfectly aligned before they pull the trigger. That need for perfection often costs them valid entries.
Revenge trading — 50/50, but the reason looks different for each. Men revenge trade out of overconfidence — the urgency to immediately prove themselves right again. Women revenge trade less from urgency and more from resistance to being wrong. When it shows up, it is usually tied to proving they are not who the loss made them feel like.
Quitting — Females 80%, Males 20%. Not because most men never quit. Because when women quit trading, it happens at a noticeably higher rate — usually because they feel isolated in this business more than men do.
Discipline — Males 40%, Females 60%. Once a system is trusted, women tend to follow it more consistently.
Validation — Females 70%, Males 30%. Women are more likely to want confirmation from a mentor or community before entering a trade.
Stress — Females 80%, Males 20%. Not because women are worse traders. Because you are not just a trader. You are a female trader — and your biology is part of that reality.
Your monthly cycle affects your hormones. Your hormones affect your mood, your risk tolerance, and your decision-making. That is not weakness. That is biology.
If you are a female trader, mark your cycle in your journal. Know which weeks call for smaller risk or staying out entirely. Not because you are not good enough. Because you know yourself well enough to plan around it.
Know your pattern. Build your system around your real wiring — not someone else’s.

Three most dangerous emotions in trading: Fear, Hope and Greediness and in my experience greediness is hard to break because it doesn’t show up as a negative thought but as a thought 💭 that wants to bail you out in life and that’s why it’s easy to let it in…… Break out of it

When I started trading in 2012, one of the things I struggled to understand was why I could perform so well on a demo account, yet become a completely different trader when real money was involved.

Same strategy. Same market. Same trader.

So what changed?

It took years of experience and self-audit for me to understand that moving from demo to live isn’t just a change of account — it’s a change of psychological environment.

And unless you understand what that environment does to your decision-making, you may keep blaming your strategy for a problem that isn’t actually technical.

In this video, I explain the psychology behind why demo and live trading feel completely different.

Happy Birthday, Pastor Olukayode Ariyo .

Another year of carrying grace for people who can’t always see the weight you carry. God has kept you, sharpened you, and positioned you for what’s ahead. May this new year deepen everything He’s already building in you vision, strength, and the kind of wisdom that outlives a season.

Grateful for your covering. Grateful for your voice. Cheers to more years of walking in it.
Happy birthday, Man of God

Sat down with one of my mentees, Daniel, and we got into something every trader needs to hear.

There are different types of businesses. Cash cow — rental properties, transportation, the tenant pays you every month, predictable. Growth business — you put the profit back in, you are playing a long game, think Amazon, think CSOT. Lifestyle business — it exists to fund how you live, not to build wealth. High risk, high reward — oil, mining, ventures where the risk is real but so is the payoff.

Trading is none of these.

Trading is a speculative business.

Speculation means you do not know what will happen. You are making an educated guess based on probability, not a guarantee based on a system that pays out monthly like a tenant.

So Daniel asked me the question everyone eventually asks — if we don’t know what will happen, how is this different from gambling?

Here is the difference. You stop gambling the moment you remove yourself from the outcome and trust a system that has been tested and proven over time. A cash cow business tells you what to expect by the end of the month. A growth business tells you not to expect anything for years. A speculative business tells you — you can do everything right and still not know if today, tomorrow, or next month brings profit.

That is not a flaw in trading. That is the nature of the category it belongs to.

The real problem is not the business. It is that most retail traders have placed trading in the wrong category inside their own mind.

You are treating a speculative business like a cash cow. Expecting Monday to Friday income like a landlord expects rent. And when it does not show up on schedule, you panic, you force trades, you sabotage what could have worked if you had just understood what kind of business you were actually in.

Know your category. Then trade like you actually understand it.
