World Alliance Boxing Association -WABA EXTENDS HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO THE GHANA BOXING AUTHORITY (GBA) DURING THIS TIME OF GRIEF OVER THE PASSING OF EDDIE PAPPOE, A DISTINGUISHED GHANAIAN INTERNATIONAL BOXING OFFICIAL

The President of WABA, Hon Ky Col Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi, is profoundly grieving the loss of his cherished longtime colleague and internationally respected ring official Ataa Eddie Pappoe.

The WABA President had the privilege of collaborating with Pappoe throughout numerous fights during his tenure leading the IBF across Africa, the Middle East, and the Persian Gulf.

Most notably, it was in South Africa—specifically in Johannesburg and East London—where these two esteemed boxing officials worked side by side on multiple IBF-sanctioned title bouts, significantly strengthening the IBF's standing as a premier continental African organization.

In 2019, Hon Ky Col Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi transitioned from the IBF to establish the World Alliance Boxing Association (WABA), which has earned recognition as the most rapidly expanding sanctioning body globally today.

The WABA President fondly remembered Pappoe as a humble individual, someone who shunned the spotlight, possessed a warm demeanor, demonstrated unwavering dedication, and lived with deep spiritual conviction.

May his noble soul find eternal peace and rest, AMEN!

Daniel Dubois smashed Fabio Wardley in the second round of their world championship rematch at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night.

Dubois retained the WBO heavyweight title he won from Wardley in May in crushing style, picking up just where he left off in their first fight.

Daniel Dubois beat Fabio Wardley for the second time in five months to retain his WBO heavyweight title Saturday with a brutal Round 2 stoppage in London.

Dubois (24-3, 23 KOs) was quick out of the blocks and dropped Wardley (20-2-1, 19 KOs) with a right hand in the first half of Round 1.

Wardley tried to remain composed and use his jab but was marched down by a powerful Dubois, who looked intent on inflicting as much damage as early as he could.

Dubois had Wardley pinned against the ropes and let his hands go late in a breathless opening round that prompted Wardley's coach, Ben Davison, to get to his feet in the corner with the towel in his hand before Wardley was saved by the bell.
