Petition for Review of Instructor Eligibility and Conduct
To Whom It May Concern,
We, the undersigned, wish to raise concerns regarding the representation and qualifications of Mr. Ezekiel Dodoo as a judo instructor and official.
It has come to our attention that there may be inconsistencies regarding the rank and qualifications being presented publicly. We respectfully request that the appropriate authorities verify whether Mr. Ezekiel Dodoo officially holds a recognized Black Belt certification and 3rd Dan rank through the proper governing bodies.
In addition, concerns have been raised by former athletes, coaches, and members of the judo community regarding decisions made during his time in a leadership role within the Ghana Judo Federation. These concerns include:
- Allegations of unfair suspensions and disciplinary actions against coaches and athletes.
- Claims that certain decisions favored members of his family and associates within the national team structure.
- Concerns regarding missing equipment and judo uniforms that were reportedly supplied during the All African Games period.
- Complaints regarding inappropriate relationships involving female athletes, which some believe discouraged women and girls from participating in judo.
We emphasize that these matters should be independently investigated and verified by the appropriate sporting and legal authorities.
Our intention is not to defame any individual, but rather to protect the integrity of judo, ensure transparency, and promote a safe and fair environment for all athletes and coaches.
We respectfully call upon the relevant authorities to:
1. Verify all coaching qualifications and rankings being publicly presented.
2. Conduct an independent review of past administrative decisions and disciplinary actions.
3. Investigate any concerns related to athlete welfare and organizational conduct.
4. Ensure accountability, fairness, and transparency within the sport.
We believe these actions are necessary to preserve trust, professionalism, and the future development of judo.
