Patrick ObengPatrick Yaw Obeng grabbed a personal second silver medal and Ghana’s 11th medal overall after placing second in the 1500m T53-54 Men’s final at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo-Brazzaville on Wednesday.

Obeng’s feat was made all the more remarkable because he had won silver in the 800m T54 Men Final in 1:52.56, only 24 hours earlier.

The Kumasi based athlete was sandwiched in between Tunisia’s Yassine Gharbi won won first in 3:36.91 and Fathi Zouinkhi who came third in 3:38.32.

Obeng’s compatriots Felix Acheampong and Maclean Atsu Dzidzienyo came 5th and 7th respectably in the same event.

Meanwhile, Ghana's Emmanuel Alabi Abang places 12th with a throw of 20.00m in Javelin Throw F42-44 Men Final.

Team Ghana has won a total of 14 medals with para cycling contributing three silver medals
