Ghana’s business and media communities have been thrown into shock following reports of the death of renowned businessman and media owner, Stephen Boateng, popularly known as Kessben, on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

Reports of his alleged death began circulating in the early hours of Thursday, triggering an outpouring of sadness and disbelief among colleagues, business associates, media personalities and members of the public who knew the veteran entrepreneur.

The cause of the reported death also remains unknown, with no official details available regarding what may have happened to the businessman.
