Volta Region U-19 suffered a 3-1 defeat to Eastern Region on Matchday 4 of the MTN Elite U-19 Championship in Prampram on Saturday.

The defending champions took an early lead, but Volta hit back to level before the break.

Eastern Region, however, regained control after the restart and scored twice more to secure a 3-1 win.

The MTN Elite U-19 Championship continues to serve as a vital platform to unearth and develop the next generation of talent across the country.

Matchday 4 continues today with Volta Region facing Eastern Region at 1:00pm.

Volta Region U-19 secured their first win of the MTN Elite U-19 Championship with a 2-0 victory over Western Region.

Forward Agbogan Cise opened the scoring in the 36th minute to give Volta the lead, before the half time whistle.

Maja Samuel added Volta’s second goal in the 86th minute to seal the result.

Enoch Sarpong was named Man of the Match for his performance.

Volta U19 Boys lost 2-1 to Upper West in Match Day 2 of the ongoing MTN Elite U-19 Championship in Prampram.

It wasn’t the result we wanted, but the fight, the response, and the character from Team Volta were clear. Lessons learnt. Experience gained.

We dust off, we learn, and we go again, this time round against the Western Region at 10:30am tomorrow.
