Future Stars CEO pens heartfelt acceptance message after WAFU Zone B Appointment.

Chief Executive Officer of Future Stars Stephen Appiah has penned a heartwarming acceptance message following his appointment onto the Local Organizing Committee of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Women's Cup of Nations.

The Ghana Football Association on Tuesday, April 11, reconstituted the LOC for the WAFU Zone B U-20 Women's competition with Ashanti Region Football Association head Osei Tutu Agyemang serving as the new chairman.

Other members of the committee include the CEOs of Kwamo-based Future Stars Stephen Appiah, Frank Todd Amoah of Ashtown Ladies and Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare of Hasaacas Ladies.

Reflecting on his appointment, Mr Appiah wrote:

"I am with this missive expressing my profound gratitude and appreciation for my appointment as a member of the organizing committee of WAFU Zone B Women’s Cup of Nations.

"I deem it a great honor bestowed upon me to serve on this committee. Women’s football should be given all the support it needs for it to thrive and attract the interest of sponsors.

"I look forward to working in tandem with the other members of the committee to achieve the desired aim and objective.

"Looking forward to the consolidation of knowledge and experiences of all members in order for the committee to function effectively. May this tournament go on successfully devoid of any hitches.

"Once again, I am very much pleased and grateful for the opportunity."

The LOC is expected to provide oversight, support and advice to the tournament organisers on planning and ex*****on.

KWAKU FRIMPONG DI AS3M B3BA: Future Stars FC's Kwaku Frimpong condemns Skyy FC to painful defeat in keenly-contested affair.

Future Stars Football Club put the breaks on high-flying Skyy FC on Wednesday, March 29.

Kwaku Frimpong's solitary strike in the second half was enough to bring Skyy FC's winning streak to a crashing halt.

Buoyed by a 17-game unbeaten run, the Division One Zone Two League leaders looked to keep their enviable record intact.

A pulsating goalless first half was taken a notch higher to a keenly-contested second half.

Both sides chased the winner with persistent onslaught of the opposition defence until the home side broke the deadlock via the boots of Kwaku Frimpong.

Frimpong's goal sent the supporters gathered at the Ejisu Okese Park into hysteria.

Tried as much as Skyy FC they did, the equalizer proved elusive as coach Nurudeen Amadu's charges held on for precious three points.

The win, masterminded by the former King Faisal gaffer and his technical team members that handed Daboase-based Skyy FC their first defeat since slipping to a one-nil loss against Nations FC on October 16, 2022 at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.

Up next for the giant-killing Future Stars is a tough test against Nations FC on Sunday.

Division One Zone Two: Future Stars tackle Holy Stars in a bid to secure back to back wins.

Future Stars will seek to stretch their winning run when they cross swords with Basake Holy Stars on Wednesday, February 1.

The Kwamo-based outfit chalked a two-nil victory over former Premier League club Elmina Sharks last Sunday.

With the club on the brink of bolstering their roster with key additions, coach Nurudeen Amadu's charges will look to build on their previous success.

Occupying the seventh position after 12 games with 16 points, Future Stars will aim to arrest their poor away form with a positive result at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.

Meanwhile, Basake Holy Stars are closely behind Future Stars and will want to topple them with a home win.

Nonetheless the game, slated for February 1 at 3pm promises to be keenly contested.
