📌 2025 Major Highlights – St. John Ambulance Ghana
To crown it all, one of our key flagship events of the year was organized in line with activities to promote World Restart a Heart Day — the Junior Safety and First Aiders Challenge 2025 for Basic schools.
This impactful programme aimed at instilling lifesaving knowledge, first aid skills, and safety awareness in young learners, reinforcing the importance of early education in emergency response.
The grand finale brought together outstanding cadets from:
Twinkle Burgeon International School, Fijai
St. John the Baptist Catholic JHS-Essaman,
Pentecost Preparatory and
Joyful Life Academy
After keen competition:
🏅 Twinkle Burgeon International School emerged as Best in Practicals
🧠 Joyful Life Academy won Best in Quiz
🏆 Joyful Life Academy was crowned the Overall Best School in the Junior Safety and first aiders challenge 2025.

EVENT RECAP | FIRST AID REFRESHER EDUCATION 🚑🔥
St John Ambulance Ghana – Western Region successfully organized a 2-Day Refresher First Aid Education for selected personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Western Regional Command, held at Sekondi from 13th – 14th November 2025.
Day 1 Highlights (13th November 2025):
Opening session and introduction to the objectives of the refresher training
Review of Basic Life Support (BLS) principles
Practical sessions on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and recovery position
Management of bleeding, wounds, and shock
Interactive discussions linking first aid response to fire and rescue operations
Day 2 Highlights (14th November 2025):
Management of burns, fractures, and spinal injuries
First aid response to fire-related and mass casualty incidents
Patient assessment and scene safety
Hands-on simulations and scenario-based practical exercises
Evaluation, feedback, and certification
Key Outcomes:
Strengthened first aid knowledge and emergency response skills among GNFS personnel
Improved collaboration between St John Ambulance Ghana and the Ghana National Fire Service
Reinforced the importance of rapid, safe, and effective first aid during emergencies
St John Ambulance Ghana remains committed to saving lives through education, training, and preparedness.
