I get lots of questions about my workout routine and why I do this one specifically. I’ve tried many different routines and honestly have seen the most progress for reaching my goals in this one. (It isn’t a weekly routine it’s just 3 days on then typically 1 day off unless I feel ready to repeat without the rest day.) I will post the workouts for each day over the next few weeks!

What are the best foods to eat in order to reduce muscle soreness and enhance muscle growth?

First of all and most importantly, if you are dehydrated, in a caloric deficit, low on Protein and/or other nutrients, this will increase your chances of getting muscle cramps and harm the recovery process.
In my personal experience, I have found that eating foods which are high in Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium aid the recovery process. I have also found that when I used to get muscle cramps, eating a banana or drinking coconut water immediately gets rid of the cramp. Give these foods a try after your training session and I’m sure you will have an easier time recovering from your last workout!

Almost every “healthy” drink alternative and food alternatives have the ingredient “natural flavors”. This ingredient looks good on the packaging because it says “natural” but the FDA hasn’t officially defined this word. “Natural Flavors” are typically highly processed with many chemical additives forms of these foods:

spices
fruit
vegetables
edible plant material
dairy products
meat
poultry
seafood
eggs

Don’t be fooled by the ingredients!

Here is a picture from our walk last Sunday! The walking group has been great and we are expanding to encourage more people to live a happy, healthy lifestyle! I believe walking is one of the easiest forms of exercise that also provides an endless amount of health benefits! Tryout this one exercise for an amazing leg workout! This is an Alternating Lunge Jump with a Squat. This exercise works the Glutes, Hamstrings, Quads and Calves.
