I have been in this game for some time, and coached and.met some incredible people along the way, but this kid is like no other. On court she is incredible to coach, at times frustrating but in the most positive way, and off court she models everything I believe an athlete should be. Humble, giving, committed, passionate, selfless, team first, caring and just a genuinely good human being. Today is an incredibly tough day on a personal and Club level, but also an incredibly proud day on both fronts as well. Vezzie is one in a million and it is not lost on us how incredibly instrumental she has been in our Clubs success over the past years both on and off the court!! All athletes are replaceable as harsh as that may sound, but what we know is that Vezzie’s legacy at this Club will forever be ingrained in the walls, the court, the uniform, the staff, the members, the fans and all of our hearts!! It’s one thing to be a great Netballer but it’s far more important to be a great human being….. and that is our Vez!!!!
