Are you somebody who often wonders what is the best diet to lose some extra body fat?

You might have turned to the internet to see a barrage of information.

Keto, Glucose Monitoring, Intermittent Fasting... the list goes on.

Some of it is even conflicting information.

This is not helpful in the slightest and nearly all of these trendy methods have been proven time and time again to be not as amazing as they are marketed.

Some may get people great results in the short-term. But, often they are not sustainable in the long-term and lead to yo-yo dieting.

Food does not have to be this hard.

The best place to start is by...

1. Simply eating whole, nutritious food
2. Learn about high calorie foods and low calorie foods
3. Eat more low calorie foods
4. Build your daily eating habits around all of the above

Remember, you want to build eating habits that will feel sustainable over the long-term. Cutting out food groups and severe restrictive eating is a quick fix, but can it be followed all year round?

Adherence is the biggest factor for success if you want to change your health permanently.

Fat loss can be difficult for a lot of people and for good reason with all the conflicting information out there.

A lot of people I speak to tend to put a lot of focus on things that are extreme or really do not make a difference unless you have the main things right. For example meal timing, food groups, various supplements, drinking shakes instead of eating or just not eating at all for a day or two.

The most important and only rule of fat loss is an energy deficit. Any diet methodology or eating window, if successful, is because of this. They have created and energy deficit.

Here is my Triangle Of Fat loss & how I explain it to my clients…

If you can plug each link of the triangle together and create habits to maintain them over the long term, fat loss happens like magic without having to punish yourself with radical diets.

Elevating your metabolism through movement and training in combination with eating low calorie dense foods is the best way to get results over time.

If you are trying to lose body fat, ask yourself this question…

Could I sustain what I am doing right now for 3-6months?

If the answer is no then I would urge you to reassess what you are doing.
