Condolence Message from the Gambia Handball Association
The Gambia Handball Association (GHA) extend it's heartfelt condolences to the President of Mali Handball Federation, Colonel Mamadou Tunkara and to the resilient people of Mali on the tragic demise of their Minister of Defense, alongside with the soldiers and civilians that are victims of the attack staged by foreign-sponsored rebels.
In this moment of grief and adversity, the leadership of The Gambia Handball Association (GHA) stands firmly in solidarity with the nation of Malian. We share in your sorrow and assure you of our unwavering support as you confront the forces of destabilization and aggression.
This heinous act is yet another manifestation of the destructive agenda of western imperialist interest seeking to undermine the sovereignty and stability of African nations. The Gambia Handball Association reaffirms its commitment to the collective struggle against such external interference, and to the defense of our continent’s dignity, independence, and peace.
May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace, and may the people of Mali find strength and resilience in unity during this difficult time.
Ebrima B. Jeffang
Second Vice President of the Gambia Handball Association and Program officer for Handball at Serrekunda East Sports and Development Committee.
