November 29th GLTA was paid a visit by the ITF development officer for West and Central Africa Amine Ben Makhlouf.
Fruitful discussions between him executive and coaches as to how to go about development tennis. He also outlines guidelines of how ITF can support through grands and funding.
This is his second visit to the gambia this year, and we hope to work closely with him to develop the game.
We appreciate your continued support and hope to see you again.

The 15 & Under Open Championship, held over three days, featuring Boys’ Singles, Girls’ Singles, Boys’ Doubles, and Mixed Doubles events have been successfully concluded.
Certificates and trophies were presented to winners and runners-up in the presence of the GLTA President, a representative from the National Olympic Committee, and key partners.
We proudly acknowledge Martina, founder of the Sports and Education Africa Foundation, for her valuable support towards youth tennis development.
Special appreciation also goes to Momodou of MS Design, and GNOC for their continued support towards the development of tennis.
Despite the demanding three day schedule, the young players demonstrated excellent performance, discipline, and sportsmanship.
We also thank the National TV for covering the event.
GLTA remains committed to developing and promoting youth tennis in The Gambia.
