Saturday 8th December 2018 was the starting day of the annual Tubakuta village tournament competition where the last year crowd team TUBAKUTA FOOTBALL ACADEMY scratch the with a team from a neighboring village Basori. The game ended 1:0 in favor of the Academy.

The academy boys are in the preparations for there first match of the tournament which is schedule to take place on the 8th of this month

Star athletes Gina Bass and Adama Jammeh are scheduled to leave to Gambia’s shores this week for training camp in France, Foroyaa Sport understands.

The duo will be leaving tomorrow for the High Performance Training Centre in France in preparation for the African Senior Athletics Championship in Nigeria.

Bass stormed the Commonwealth Games in Australia reaching the semis of both the 100 and 200m races at an event rest of the Gambian team couldn’t go past the first round hurdle.

SHERIFFO SONKO WON UDP CHAIRMANSHIP PRIMARIES FOR WEST COAST.

The long awaited second round of the UDP regional primaries for West coast region was held today in Brikama. According to party officials, Mr Sheriffo Sonko won with a landslide against his rival, Fatou Cham.It was a jubilant mood at regional education directorate ,Brikama earlier this evening as Mr Sonko declared the winner. Mr Sonko will face a number of aspirants for the BAC chairmanship in the may elections.
