Greetings to all Gambians on this auspicious occasion of the 59th Independence Day of our beloved country. I am Dr. Ebrima Badjie, the president of the youth organisation The Gambian Connection Group. For over 10 years, I have been working in The Gambia to support the Gambian youth in their education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship. It has not always been easy, but it has been a pleasure to witness the growth and potential of our young generation.
The Gambian Connection Group is a platform for the youth to connect, collaborate, and create positive change in their communities. We provide mentorship, training, and opportunities for the youth to develop their skills and talents. We also advocate for the rights and interests of the youth in the national development agenda. We believe that the youth are the future of The Gambia, and we are committed to helping them achieve their dreams.
On this Independence Day, I wish all Gambians success and prosperity. I also urge the youth to take advantage of the opportunities that our country offers, and to contribute to its development with passion and dedication. Let us celebrate our independence with pride and gratitude, and let us work together to make The Gambia a shining example of democracy, peace, and progress in Africa and the world.
Happy Independence Day, The Gambia!

Gambian Youth Beware: Did Recent Boat "Accidents" Hide a Murderous Secret?
The Gambian dream of reaching Spain for a better life is turning into a chilling nightmare. The latest string of boat "accidents" has left a nation mourning, but a disturbing question lingers: were these tragedies truly accidents, or cold-blooded murders disguised as misfortune?
A new, horrifying tactic by human traffickers is emerging, targeting our vulnerable youth with promises of safe passage, only to deliver a silent, watery grave. They lie, collect your money, and then... nothing. They drift for a mere 10-20 kilometers, just enough to silence screams. Then, the unthinkable: reports whisper of water laced with sniper, turning your thirst for a new life into a thirst for death.
No witnesses, no messy accidents, just easy money and lives snuffed out without a trace. Think about it. Why help you reach Spain when they can steal your money and vanish you without a trace? The media will spin it as another tragic accident at sea. But what if it's not? What if the recent "accidents" were meticulously planned murders?
The Spanish reconnaissance planes and Senegalese helicopters patrolling the waters are grim reminders of the horror unfolding beneath the surface. Gambian youth, this is your wake-up call. Don't be seduced by empty promises. Don't gamble with your life. Heed this desperate plea: never, ever board a backway boat again.
Share this warning. Shout it from the rooftops. Let every Gambian hear it loud and clear: the Backway Fraud is a death trap. Don't become another victim. Choose life. Choose your family. Choose Gambia.
Together, we can expose these monsters and demand answers. Let's turn their greed into fear, their silence into screams for justice. Share this. Fight this. Save lives. But most importantly, let's demand the truth. Were these accidents, or cold-blooded murders?
