Sandu District Diabugu Ward participated in a Knockout tournament organised by the United Democratic Party (UDP) between Sandu, Wuli East, and West.

On the 14th of February, Diabugu Ward and Foday K***a Ward Faced at the Final and Diabugu Ward won 1 goal during the match. Diabugu Ward became champions 🏆 🥇.

We are pleased to inform the general membership that the Sandu Football Association has been officially invited to attend the URR Sports Journalists Association Award Night.

We are proud to announce that some of our outstanding players from the Sandu District have been nominated for Best Player in the Sandu District. The nominees are:
• Ebrima Gerew
• Demba Sanyang
• Tijan Bah

In addition, we are delighted to inform you that Mr. Karim Cham has also been nominated for Best Coach in the Upper River Region (URR).

This recognition reflects the hard work, discipline, and commitment of our players, coaches, and the entire Sandu football community. We encourage all members to share in this pride and continue supporting football development in our district.

Sandu Football Committee met today to review end-of-year activities, assess the progress made throughout the season, and reflect on key achievements and challenges. The meeting provided an opportunity for executives to evaluate the overall performance of football development within the district.

Discussions also focused on setting priorities and outlining the next steps for 2026, with emphasis on strengthening organization, improving competitions, and promoting youth development. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to working together to advance football in Sandu and achieve greater success in the coming year.

Following the unfortunate violence that erupted during the recent final match, our honorable National Assembly Member Hon Ebrima Jaiteh NAM For Sandu has taken a bold step by initiating a peace dialogue between the two affected communities, Diabugu Batapa and Sare Gubu in Sandu.
