🇬🇧 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝗲 𝟭𝟭𝟭𝗛-𝟭𝟭, 𝗟𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀 [+𝟭𝟵𝟰𝟯]
On Sunday, November 14, 1943, on the third day of the Battle of Leros, 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 aircraft from the RAF’s 46th and 227th Squadrons conducted operations over the island, reinforcing the British defense and dealing a decisive strike against a 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝗲 𝟭𝟭𝟭𝗛-𝟭𝟭 of II./ KG 100, which was on a resupply mission for German amphibious assault units.

The ensuing dogfight claimed lives on both sides, leaving behind a unique 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗸, which remains preserved to this day at a depth of just 16 meters.

Την Κυριακή 14 Νοεμβρίου 1943, κατά την 3η ημέρα της Μάχης της Λέρου, βρετανικά μαχητικά αεροσκάφη Bristol Beaufighter της 46ης και της 227ης Μοίρας της RAF πραγματοποίησαν επιχειρήσεις πάνω από το νησί, ενισχύοντας τη βρετανική άμυνα και πετυχαίνοντας καίριο πλήγμα εναντίον ενός Heinkel He 111H-11 της II./KG 100, το οποίο εκτελούσε αποστολή ανεφοδιασμού γερμανικών αμφίβιων καταδρομικών τμημάτων.

Η αερομαχία που ακολούθησε κόστισε ζωές και στις δύο πλευρές, αφήνοντας πίσω της ένα μοναδικό αεροναυάγιο, το οποίο διασώζεται μέχρι σήμερα σε βάθος μόλις 16 μέτρων.

Η ταινία μας 4Caves - 4Seasons θα προβληθεί στη "Βραδιά Κινηματογράφου" το Σάββατο 18 Απριλίου, στο Roquefort-la-Bédoule της νότιας Γαλλίας. Η εκδήλωση διοργανώνεται από το σπηλαιολογικό κλαμπ L'escandaou, Club de Spéléologie et Canyoning Aubagne - Cuges της Aubagne.
Η προβολή θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο πλαίσιο της ετήσιας συνάντησης γαλλικών σπηλαιολογικών συλλόγων και ομοσπονδιών. Αποτελεί μεγάλη τιμή για εμάς η συμμετοχή σε αυτή τη σημαντική διοργάνωση και μια μεγάλη ευκαιρία να μοιραστούμε το έργο μας με τη #Γαλλική #σπηλαιολογική κοινότητα.

🇬🇷 Στο κέντρο ενός σπάνιου οικοσυστήματος με ιδιαίτερη φυσική ομορφιά και πολύπλευρη σημασία, κρύβεται ένα από τα πιο ενδιαφέροντα γεωλογικά φαινόμενα της Αττικής, η λίμνη της Βουλιαγμένης.
