A little recap of last week 😄

Such a great week coaching with my friend and fellow guide Tommaso!

We had so much fun with the group, and it was amazing to see how much everyone progressed in just 5 days! Some were struggling on 5b at the beginning of the week and ended up climbing 6a+! Lots of lead climbing too, and so much more confidence by the end of the course. Really nice to see! 😊

They also discovered our obsession with gavafes fruit 😂 Tom and I absolutely love it! Apparently, you either love it or hate it… and we're definitely on team LOVE! ✌️

Dolphin Bay has one of the best 6a’s on Kalymnos, and now you can climb here in the sunshine, right above the sea ☀️🌊

It's also got a short approach - it’s definitely worth a visit.

Save it if you are coming to Kalymnos soon!

September was a good one 😊

So many familiar faces back on the island, lots of new climbers to meet, courses and just really good times with good people.

I got to climb quite a bit with friends too — even up to 8a+ (top rope of course), got back to training and made some progress I honestly wasn’t expecting yet.

Lots of fun coaching with Sergi — dream team — but also a few courses on my own again, which was a pretty big step for me and felt really good.

We celebrated a birthday at the crag, had our repeat climber showing up here and there, I started my weekly training sessions on the beach (more details comong soon) and ate a lot of good food… basically a pretty happy September ☺️

And I couldn’t choose among all the pictures so you get 20 of them!

In my course, I always say "climb until you fall!"

If you know me, you can probably still hear my voice in your head 😄

But not every route is safe for practising falls. Close to the ground, above a ledge or on a slab, fear is there for a good reason.

I really didn’t expect this today.

13 months ago, I broke my spine. Since then, I’ve just been figuring out what I can still do, adapting my climbing and enjoying every little step forward.

Today was a pretty big one.

My first steps in a 8a since the accident.

It used to be just another grade.

Today this one felt pretty good 😜🙏

Such a fun week with Stacey, Ed, Joel, Max, Mate, Jerome & Allan. Lots of climbing, lots of progress and most of all, really good energy!

One-hand climbing is one of my favorite drills.

The whole point is to take one hand away so you’re forced to find your balance, use your feet and move your body instead of just pulling.

You can see Ed and Joel in the background giving it a go… and Stacey happily climbing with both hands while I’m explaining the drill 😂

She saw the video afterwards and was laughing that she’d completely ruined my demonstration.

Don’t worry Stacey, you will have more opportunities to practice 😉💪
