Meet Dimitris Tsimperis — 2nd Degree Instructor of Tsimperis Kenpo Hellas and proof that the floor is not a lifelong training partner 🇬🇷🥋
With 17 years of Kenpo experience at just 22 years old, Dimitris has practically grown up on the mat. He is an Associate Instructor at Tsimperis Kenpo Hellas, training under Panagiotis Tsimperis, and combining experience with sharp technique and leadership.
In his early sparring days, Dimitris spent a lot of time close to the floor. With patience and persistence, they eventually went their separate ways and Dimitris went on to become a World and European Champion.
Plot twist: the floor didn’t win 😏.
Today, he coaches the sparring athletes of Tsimperis Kenpo Hellas, proudly watching them step onto the podium time and time again.
Dimitris Tsimperis shows that American Kenpo is about resilience, growth, and lifting others up 🔥🥋

🤜🫷In the American Kenpo bow/salute, the right fist represents the Warrior and the left open palm represents the Scholar. The bow/salute signifies those two ideals joining together.
Much like the 🇺🇸Veterans we celebrate today, the Warrior fights what’s in front of him because he cares about what’s behind him.
The scholar seeks knowledge and understands the value of that knowledge.
Together, a Kenpoist is expected to cultivate the fighting spirit of the Warrior while also prescribing to the concept of knowledge is power found in being Scholarly.
"We the warrior and the scholar go forth to fight back to back, we pull our country together. We have no weapons, we hide our secrets, and pray forgiveness if we have to use them"
“The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting by fools. " - Thucydides
