Happy faces, salty hair, and a whole lot of good times on the water🛶💙🌊

This is why our trips are about more than just kayaking.

While walking throught Mon Repos we happened to stumble upon something very special - the final rehearsals of two Corfiot philharmonic bands.

At the Rena Vlachopoulou Theatre, the Mantzaros Philharmonic, conducted by Mr. Sokratis Anthis, was rehearsing for their concert dedicated to Manos Hadjidakis, while the Municipal Philharmonic of Avliotes, conducted by Mr. Nikos Metallinos, was preparing for their concert celebrating Marinella.
And somehow, we got to experience it!

Because Corfu is not only about turquoise water, hidden caves and beautiful beaches.
It’s also the island of philharmonics.
Music is part of everyday life here - you can turn a corner and suddenly find yourself in the middle of a rehearsal, a procession or a concert.
In fact, the philharmonic tradition of Corfu is included in Greece’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

You just paddle, you explore… and sometimes Corfu gives you a little piece of its soul.
