The World Apnea 2026 Pool Championship by AIDA International which took place in Budapest - Hungary 31/5/2026 to 5/6/2026 ended. It was the biggest participation in the history of AIDA.Despite the difficulties I faced during the preparation I managed to participate and also perform a competition P.B in Dynamic Apnea. I also want to thank Anna Iliadou who was there for me in Static Apnea as a coach.
I especially want to thank my wife for supporting me during that period and my friends and students who believe in me.
A big thanks to Mantaray for supporting me with freediving gear , tailor made wetsuits Yamamoto 45 pro 1,5 mm and 3,5mm for almost 20 years.

NEW ABSOLUTE WORLD RECORD IN CWTB (Pending)

On July 22, 2026, in Panglao, Philippines, Alexey Molchanov set a new World Record in CWTB (bi-fins) with a dive to 129m (423ft).
After focusing on pool, Alexey has turned to depth and started his season with a new absolute WR, marking world record number 43.

Congratulations Alexey! What a start to the season. 🔥

He did it all in his trusted PRO Hyper Bifins Fiberglass. Fiberglass is the new carbon. 😉
